Supreme Court Upholds Right To Own Guns For Self-Defense

you should try and doing a modicum of research before blathering on about a subject that you obviously know nothing about.

start with research what happened to the violent crime rate in Australia when they heavily restricted guns. posted 06/27/2008 at 00:07:25
You should learn more about what a libertarian is. Hint - one would never say "we need a government that will tax and spend on public works that improve our society".

That is in fact the exact opposite of libertarianism. posted 06/27/2008 at 00:04:38

Anheuser-Busch Tells InBev To Stick Its Buyout Offer: Source

There are many inaccuracies in this post. First, InBev is already the largest brewer in the world by volume. Next, American Budweiser predates Czech Budvar by over 20 years. lastly, AB already distributes all InBev European beers, a deal made in Dec of 2006. posted 06/27/2008 at 00:29:05
you might be dumb as a rock. American workers will still churn out Bud at American plants. posted 06/27/2008 at 00:26:47
Ah, no. AB is a company, and not "the largest selling beer in the world". The largest beer brewer in the world is InBev. posted 06/27/2008 at 00:25:49
InBev made a deal with A-B in December of 2007 to market and distribute all of the European beers in the US, including Leffe. posted 06/27/2008 at 00:23:41

Politicians Line Up To Save Anheuser-Busch Shareholders From Profits, InBev

In reality the management of InBev is primarily Brazilian, not Belgian. The "merger" between Interbrew and AmBev seemed more like a takeover, giving the overwhelming number of top executives from AmBev. posted 06/12/2008 at 22:26:59
you might want to study up a bit on InBev. When you do, please list the breweries that they have sold off for massive profits and gutted the company in any way comparable to Icahn. posted 06/12/2008 at 22:25:35
ah, no. American Budweiser predates Czech Budvar posted 06/12/2008 at 13:17:51
Do you even know who Carl Icahn is? He is a corporate raider who squeeze out assets and sells them. InBev is the exact opposite. They buy companies and integrate them into their existing systems. Outside of Rolling Rock, what brewery bought by InBev has been sold? None.

By the way, the company who bought Rolling Rock from InBev immediately shut down the plant and moved the production to another facility. Who did that? A-B posted 06/12/2008 at 13:15:32

Finally some reality here. Note that all of InBev's brands are still brewed in their home countries, even though they are sold here - Bass in England, Hoegaarden and Stella in Belgium, Beck's in Germany. All A-B breweries will remain open. Sales and marketing staff will be added. A bunch of do nothing middlemen will be let go.

I wonder how many of these ignorant hypocrites know that InBev owned Rolling Rock until 2 years ago. The first thing the new owner did was shut down the plant and move production to one of their newer facilities. Who was this corporate monster? Anheuser Busch. Get informed people. posted 06/12/2008 at 13:03:16
A-B already distributes InBev's European brands in the US posted 06/12/2008 at 12:57:48
Don't be so naive. Everything A-B does is to maximize profits at A-B. Your touchy feely belief that they are good corporate citizens proves my point.

The reality is that historically, InBev increases ad spend by multiples when they take over a brand. posted 06/12/2008 at 12:50:51
Huh?? Brewery workers?? Bud will still be brewed in the exact same places that it is brewed now. You think InBev is going to start making Bud in Belgium and shipping it over? Ever heard of logistics? posted 06/12/2008 at 12:47:08

Rarely do you see as empty headed a group of people on HuffPost as Oberman fans. Just read these posts "we boycott fox", "we hate o'reilly", "keith kicks butt", "cable provider conspiracy". Sad.

The reality is that Fox in general, and O'Reilly in particular, slaughters not just Oberman, but all of MSNBC. Oberman is number 23 in ratings, and O'Reilly is number 1. The crowning achievement this week (filling in details missing from this "article" was achieved by
a. limiting demographics.
b. skipping one night. and
c. O'reilly being on vacation

I think O'Reilly is a blowhard who doesn't listen to his interviewees. Nevertheless, he is way more watchable, and thus way more popular than the top 3 people on MSNBC combined posted 06/14/2008 at 08:46:33
