McCain's "Miss America" Promise on Iraq

Can you get anymore absurd? Be very careful, do not let any NEW ideas into your very thoroughly programed thought process.

Hold your breath, Obama hasn't been Ordained yet.

Kaiser Security Guard Strike

Well my friend, don't waste your time missing it. You have to wait months to get an appointment to see your Primary Care Doctor or a P.A. They are often better than the doctors. There are rarely any specialist available.

Perhaps that will change when all things be come equal under universal health care.. Nah, it won't, who is kidding who?

It's all politics, who is buying anything any of the candidates say any way? posted 05/12/2008 at 22:19:44
Bet not, I am married to Security Guard. Just WHAT kind of training do you think they have? Most are barely literate. I husband does it to supplement his retirement and though he doesn't work at Kaiser Permanente, they all take the same (so called) training the state requires of them to get their "Guard Card."

It is no secret that younger people who become the "run-of-the-mill" security guards are lazy and uneducated. Most of the older men and women are simply supplementing their Social Security and/or retirement. BUT at least they are working for their living. posted 05/12/2008 at 13:27:10
Hey the Dem's are going to give us good HEALTH CARE, so why should I pay Kaiser, over $550 a month for bad health care and wait for some fat, lazy, security guard to go on strike for higher pay, which means higher Insurance payments for me?

What's an Elitist Anyway?

Hey dadw5boys, you must be a true elitist, if you didn't get the obvious joke in that one simple little sentence.
An elitist also lacks a sense of humor. posted 05/08/2008 at 01:07:54

Hillary Does O'Reilly

It was one interview, divided between two shows, no doubt for ratings, but never the less, it was a good interview. I came away from it, with a whole new impression and appreciation of Senator Hillary Clinton. She did not back down or hesitate to take on O Reilly.
She looked strong and comfortable taking on Bill O Reilly. Compare that to Senator Barack Obama's press conference to distance himself from the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, which made Obama appear weak and indecisive and it is easy to see that she would be the better candidate.
Senator Barack Obama needs to stop the marshmallow appearances on such television shows as, "The Daily Show," with Jon Steward and "The David Letterman Show" and go on the O Reilly Factor and lets see some real meat and potatoes political interviews. The Chris Wallace interview was a disappointment and unremarkable. It did nothing for Barack's image.
I heard Howard Dean would be doing Bill O Reilly next. Ye-ow. posted 05/02/2008 at 18:24:40

Obama's Pivot

So? A hundred donations of one hundred dollars adds up to what? Come on, Hillary WAS getting many donations of one hundred and one thousand dollars from people working in China town. Use your head friend.
Did you watch Charlie Rose interview George Soros a while back? He is backing Barack Obama and will to spend his fortune to get him elected. He admits he spent millions to prevent George W. Bush from being reelected in 2004. Do some research. You'll know what I am talking about. posted 04/29/2008 at 22:58:52
The Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr., will continue to speak out because he can not help it.
I personally think the man is so full of himself that he does not care who he harms.
Every one should be questioning his motives. His relationship with The Nation of Islam and where is loyalties lay. The IRS should investigate him and his sources of income.

I am glad Senator Barack Obama addressed this issue with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, but Jeremiah Wright will not be going away. It has nothing to do with Republicans. They are looking for a STRONG leader as much as the Democrats are. Barack Obama needs to show how strong he can be and he is capable of being the President of all Americans.

Now the Senator needs to address the big money that is backing him and what he will owe them. The folks who back moveon.org and keep their "mad" money in Banks in the A. B. C. Islands. posted 04/29/2008 at 18:38:35

My Conversation with John Negroponte

After watching the Bill Moyers interview with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, your interview with John Negroponte helped me to regain my balance. Thanks Charlie. I have been depending on you for years to bring me back to the independent thinker I know I am. posted 04/29/2008 at 22:46:09

Obama, Wright and the Agency Problem

I don't see color when I look at Pastor Jeremiah Wright. I see a self-serving man who cares about no one but himself. An OVER inflated ego. I also see hate, which is colorless.

I don't see color when I look at Jeremiah Wright, he is a very LIGHT skin "Negro," his word, not mind.

He is putting on a show for his audience. HE IS A SHOWMAN. When is some one going to have the courage to call him what he is, or are they all going to continue to deny a man like Barack Obama his destiny? posted 04/29/2008 at 11:58:24
Senator Barack Obama needs to show us he has the strength required to lead this country and all of this countries people. Stop the bleeding heart sob story. We have enemies out there who want to see us dead. We have crisis that need taken care of now. We need a strong President. Either Barack Obama can do the job or he can't. He needs to make his call. Step up to the plate. Step into a telephone booth and come out as superman.

Jeremiah Wright is only interested in Jeremiah Wright. His ego is driving him. If he hates America so badly, let him abandon the mansion that is being built for him and go to another Country.

We can't get away with blaming everything on the Republican's or on the Bush Adminstration. That floatie is out of air.

I ask Barack Obama to live up to what he said in 2004 at the Democratic National Convention.
"We are not a nation of black and white, of brown and Asian, we are all AMERICANS." Now we are looking to him to live up to those words or is he going to let this malicious Pastor stop him?
It is all that simple. JUST THAT SIMPLE. posted 04/29/2008 at 00:02:23

No Laughing Matter: Obama Has Real Problems With Voters He Needs in November

ClareP, let me explain the logic. It is distasteful to Liberals to hear some one say, "My country, right or wrong." It is considered immoral.
But what you are hearing now, maybe for the first time, because your ears were closed to it before is, "My Race, right or wrong."
Tighten your seat belts friends, we are in for a bumpy ride. posted 04/26/2008 at 01:34:03
Yes Barack Obama does have real problems. From the beginning he just showed us what he wanted us to see. Than along came the Pastor Jeremiah Wright Jr. He with his, larger than life ego and contempt for everything white American, surprised most Democrats, Independents and even some Centrist Republicans that were looking at Barack Obama as America's great multi-ethic hope. He seemed to good to be true.

Unfortunately, the Revered Wright Jr. shattered that dream and his hate America rhetoric changed so many minds. It feels like we had come so far and now we been set back so far. Black America is not ready for a real African-American President. posted 04/25/2008 at 16:25:43

Worst Debate Ever? Demographics Anyone?

Well, gosh, you had better tell Barack that, because HE SAID 45 minutes, in Ohio. But than his story about Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., changed as well. Now he says he disowned him, after a little, dare I say, "nagging" by Hillary.
She does seem to be a little tougher and that alone, is a plus.
As McCain looks older, Obama looks emptier, Hillary Clinton looks better. To bad she had to paint herself into a corner on some issues. posted 04/18/2008 at 13:46:41
I watched Barack Obama the next day, play to an audience that was pro-Obama and he made jokes about the whole experience, much as he had over some of the Clinton attacks on him in the recent past. Remember, when he called Hillary, "Annie Oakley?" So much for running a clean and dignified campaign. Now he is complaining about Hillary's attacks and her "twisting the knife."

Well, Barack, Welcome to the wonderful world of American politics. Put your male ego away.

I heard Obama say it took 45 minutes to get to questions of substance. That was because he danced around the questions that undecided voters want some answers to. They (and I) want to know this man's character. He's new, he's unknown, he has some baggage he needs to explain.
If he is going to make it hard on us, than we are not going to vote for him. The American people are becoming distrustful of taking chances on an unknown surprise package. posted 04/18/2008 at 11:15:40

40 Years of Progress and The Work That Remains

Forty years of looking ahead and not wasting to much time looking back is a good sign for this country. I have seen many changes in my life time and I know more will come. Changes for the better do not come easily or rapidly. When we look at each other we should not see the color of each others skin but the content of each others character. Those can not just be words, but deeply meant and felt. I admired Dr King then and I still admire him now.

Senator Barack Obama is not Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. No one could ever be. He was an original, the one and only. Many of us raised our families differently because of Dr. King. He was a gift.
Electing the next President simply because he is minor or she is a woman is insulting to every Americans intelligence. If that is the case, than we should remember there is a large bloc of voters that are senior citizens. They might just vote for the senior citizen who is also a candidate. Perhaps, we should wait and see who his running mate will be and who the democratic nominee is. ; )=) posted 04/06/2008 at 00:59:03

New Petition Backs Up Pelosi On Superdelegates

With the far left wing behind her, Nancy Pelosi is obviously "backing" Barack Obama,......or is she, even more obviously, looking out for her own interest? Everything, the Speaking of the House does these days appear to be self-serving. posted 03/27/2008 at 19:35:08

What if I, a Jew, lived in Germany?

For the Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr., the mistreatment of his ancestor's had long since passed and progress was being made on a daily basis. I just have to look in my own church to see that. I see it in my city government, in the local business community and in the schools. Seeing faces of color has become so common place most of us don't even notice. Life had been becoming comfortable, than the words of the Reverend started spreading. Some folks just don't mention it, others seem a little tense.
For better or worse, these little bumps in the road will make for a stronger community a little further down the road, as long as we don't let the radical racist set us to far back. Senator Barack Obama should see to it, but right now he is playing politics and attempting to please all the people all the time. posted 03/23/2008 at 20:06:35
