FarOutFish is the Nome de Poker of retired television Photo-journalist Jim Fish. During the time of television news excellence,the early 60s to 1980s, Fish worked in local television news filling every position except anchor. "If he had Pipes, he could have been a contender" says friend and protge W. P. Diven. Fish left television when it, as he says "Changed from Edward R. Murrow's "Harvest of Shame", to Martha Stewart's "Harvest of Fame.: Although retired, he follows politics and writes an occasional essay for The Constitutional Matters Project.

Politically, Fish considers himself to be a Neo-Libertarian, who follows Thomas Jefferson's credo, "The Government that governs least governs best". Havening spent a quarter-century observing government he believes "Washington can not run a one car funeral either efficiently or economically."
