Joe Scarborough Walks Off MSNBC's "Race To The White House" After Exchange With Rachel Maddow

I have been a long-time listener of Rachel Maddow's radio show and can say that she was originally leaning for Hillary. She mostly played it neutral, but was ready to give Hillary the thumbs up until the NAFTA debacle, where Hillary was actually the one went to the Canadians to tell them that all that anti-NAFTA talk was "just for political appearances". Remember - Keith Olbermann, her mentor, gave that important finger-wagging to Hillary when that horrible thing was exposed.

Honest to Gawd, I don't know why no one brings that up anymore, as the sniper ordeal was less of an embarassment (albeit a big one) than the NAFTA bust. Mark Penn going to Columbia for pro-NAFTA discussions doesn't help her "anti" NAFTA image either.

This is why everyone has been jumping ship from Hillary and moving into Obama's camp. posted 04/18/2008 at 09:25:47
I think you meant "hot-headed". Rachel definitely deserves her own show. If you knew anything about her, you'd already know she is one. A Rhodes Scholar "lesbo". posted 04/18/2008 at 09:19:34

Obama Gets "Very Flirtatious" At Campaign Stop

I totally agree with you. I think what the mainstream media (which wants to see Hillary go up against McCain) is doing to Rev. Wright is horrible. If people would simply watch the WHOLE video of Rev. Wright instead of small snippets of it, they would see more clearly what the whole controversy SHOULD be about.

Obama is not responsible for what Rev. Wright, or how he says it. Obama is clearly not someone who would say "G-D America". But Rev. Wright's words were taken completely out of context, and was in fact quoting someone who was being interviewed on Fox after the 9/11 attacks. I find it MORE interesting and curious that THAT fact is left out by the mainstream media - and that the clip/snippets are all you get to see.

Rev. Wright had every right to say what he said, even if people didn't like HOW he said it. Patriotism means standing up for your countrymen when your government is abusing you. No one is being the patriot they claim to be right now. They simply respond in fear and hide - or agree - in blind "patriotism" with everything Bush says.

Thanks for your post. I can only wish more people were able to see the truth from the lies. posted 04/02/2008 at 17:13:57

Weak Economy Forces Elderly To Delay Retirement

Oh, that's nice - blame the victim. Because the greedy, corrupt lending institutions which were getting away with charging outragious balloon payments - knowing that the market was a mirage, offering interest-only mortgages to buyers desperate for a break - knowing that making a bad loan meant they'd score huge $$$ when they finally get to foreclose on trusting consumers. You can't be serious about painting the lender as innocent and honest, can you? The average consumer was conned into believing they'd be secure in their loans. Conned by a mindset that repeatedly said over and over again "the nation is strong", always in denial about the Iraq war, the economy, etc etc etc.

Please take notice - the days of "blame the victim" are OVER. posted 04/01/2008 at 17:46:03
I work professionally in retirement benefits. It is VERY common to receive phone calls from retirees or soon-to-be-retirees who end up changing their minds due to: 1) lack of income or retirement benefits 2) lack of health care benefits, or the worst: 3) they have suffered a major medical setback and cannot afford to be without employer-paid healthcare benefits.

The saddest cases are the ones where the employee has finally retired (after numorous prior failed attempts - see previous paragraph) - but now the family contacts us to let us know that the retiree has passed away. This is the saddest case because the retiree could've had a happier, healthier life if they had retired 10-years previously. But, because they could not afford to live without insurance coverage, or because they would've been dirt poor living on a $50/month retirement benefit, they ended up kicking the bucket.

Pretty sad. posted 04/01/2008 at 17:39:01

Two Senior Advisors: We'll Tell Hillary To Resign If She Loses Indiana

Hillary has a 5% chance of winning the nomination. Not 50-50%. That's the math talking - not the pundits. She would have to win by more than 20% in every single election in order to beat Obama's 171 pledged delegate lead. And even if she catches up or comes to a very close tie, she has literally pushed a "slash and burn" campaign, causing more pain than good. Who benefits from this? The voters?? Nope. ONLY Hillary wins. Party of 1 by that point. posted 03/31/2008 at 19:43:00

John McCain's Biography Tour To Show How War Dominates His World View

Is there anything in the tour about his first wife? A supermodel who was in a car accident, which disfigured and disabled her while McCain was a P.O.W. When McCain got back home, he divorced her and married the wealthy new girlfriend Cindy . posted 03/31/2008 at 19:36:03

Little Girl From Bosnia Scandal Shocked, "Surprised" By Clinton's Lie

Clinton lied - but the "everybody does it" is NOT a good excuse when you're running for the first female president of the United States. We have a President right now who lies on a DAILY basis. Shouldn't she be above that??? She didn't "mis-speak" about this event. Mis-speaking means you gave the wrong date or name about something. She put this event in her book, she used it to validate her argument about being "more experienced".

Why isn't she pushing her experience as Senator? Why is she making such a big deal about being First Lady?? Being a Senator is FAR more impressive - it demonstrates and utilizes her knowledge as an attorney and legislator, she has pushed for very impressive legislation for her state, and she has done a LOT more work that is relevant to being president vs. being first lady. Seriously - Why can't she let go of being "Mrs. Bill Clinton" - and simply be "Senator Hillary Clinton" instead? That's the person I like - That's the person I'd vote for. She should kick her husband off the campaign and run this one on her own. She should wake up and do the math - and demonstrate her care for the Democratic Party by leaving the race and joining up with Obama instead. She needs to knock off all the catty behavior and start acting like a decent person. posted 03/31/2008 at 12:57:16

Bill Clinton Praises "Moderate" McCain

McCain has been endorsed by Bush - so why not the Clintons. A vote for Clinton or McCain is a vote for Bush.

I love, love, love how they've continued to call McCain a "maverick". A maverick who is both for/against torture, for/against Bush, for/against the war.

Make no mistake: McCain wants 100 years more of Iraq, wants to "bomb, bomb, bomb" Iran, and wants to continue the neocon nightmare we've been living for the past 8 years. There will be NO reflief from this trillion dollar war if McCain is put in office. posted 03/28/2008 at 13:27:29

Time Magazine Asks: Can Fox News Survive After The Bush Era Ends?

Fox is no different than CNN or MSNBC. We don't practice journalism - We practice info-tainment. Anytime you deliver "news" to the average Bush-voter, you get surprise and disgust, name-calling and retaliation. They can't handle the truth - they can't handle comples issues like global warming, trillion dollar deficit, job exportation, NAFTA, evolution, class warfare.

They don't want real news - they want entertainment. These people want to believe we're all related to Adam & Eve, that the planet is only 3,000 years old and that it was created in 7-days. They believe the U.S. runs (or should at least) the world. They won't even learn a foreign language or travel to another country.

This type of person is the TARGET AUDIENCE for Fox News viewers. posted 03/28/2008 at 13:17:43

If Obama were 171 delegates behind, with fewer states won, no chance of catching up, and used daily threats of strongarming superdelegates (disguised as speeches about counting all the votes, etc), do you think ANYONE would be rooting for Obama to stay in the race?

Hillary is not "close" to winning. She must cheat, lie, steal and bloody up Obama in order to win. You've heard their camp already claim that they will have to use the "Tonya Harding" method to win.

Hillary's supporters are being as mean, pushy, divisive, and immature as Hillary is being.

Have some class. Obama would've dropped out of the race - GRACEFULLY - if he were in Hillary's spot right now. posted 03/27/2008 at 16:24:55

Bill Clinton To Obama Campaign: "Let's Just Saddle Up And Have An Argument"

Right.

Because with 171 more delegates than Hillary, higher poll numbers, class, respect, and - dare I say - one hell-of-a great speaker - Obama has every reason to "run scared" from Hillary.

I think it speaks volumes when Hillary's camp talks about using kitchen sink tactics - and now ramped up to "Tonya Harding" tactics (quoting Hillary's camp) - to "win" the nomination.

Pregnant Man?: Find Out How It Happened

It seems that he got pregnant the same way females do when it's not from your own spouse (ahem...). In this case, since we don't know such is the case, it would be safe to assume that he was artificially inseminated (clinically-based pregnancy). The same way Mary Cheney had hers (unless, she did the deed with a surrogate or whomever). posted 03/27/2008 at 16:17:14
To give you an idea of how ignorant this same anchor-woman was (I saw this telecast when it first came on yesterday at 4:00am on Headline News), she claimed disbelief and couldn't connect the dots - exclaiming "he can't be pregnant - he's married to a woman!". The poor little bobblehead seems to think either his own penis made him pregnant or that he will deliver the baby through his penis.

The man WAS a woman - and obviously still kept all her original equipment. I sincerely doubt the baby will go to full term - That baby will require tons of female hormones - hormones he now no longer has as a man. He has not one single femine feature - so he obviously has been taking his male hormone pills. He will undoubtedly have a miscarriage before the end of the second trimester. He looks like he's in his 5th-6th month, so he better not get too attached emotionally. posted 03/27/2008 at 16:10:46

Chelsea Clinton Has Quick Response For Lewinsky Question

I'm an Obama supporter - but I am on Chelsea's side 150% on this one. The Republicans will be bringing it up ad naseum - it will be a surprise to no one. But to ask her DAUGHTER about her father's famous affair???? What kind of response did he expect from Chelsea?? I'm in denial? I cried? I am stronger because of it? Seriously. Why does the answer even matter? I was bothered deeply by Hillary's over-protective attitude with Chelsea and the press, not allowing her own 27-year old daughter to talk to the press. Chelsea's response proves that she has the same brass ovaries her mom does - She didn't let the press try to embarass her because of her father's major faux pas. posted 03/26/2008 at 13:41:32

Clinton Camp: Hillary Misspoke About Her Role In Bosnia

This is silly. How about video of her coldly dissing Cindy Sheehan after their meeting in September 2005. I was completely pro-Hillary until she and John McCain agreed to meet with Cindy, and decided to repeat Bush's pro-Iraq talking points ad nauseum. I was quite offended...and nauseated with Hillary from that point onward. And NOW she says she's against the Iraq war??? What did it for her? What finally changed her mind about the war?? Oh, I dunno, was it the fact that her chance of a presidential bid for the White House was nothing less than a joke if she kept her pro-war position? I'd have to say that was probably the zinger that changed her mind. posted 03/24/2008 at 18:08:25
