60-year old white woman in rural west-central Wisconsin; married (second marriage); six adult children; 11 grandchildren; Sociology Professor; bibliophile; news junkie; world traveler; involved in humanitarian work in South and Central America for 25+ years; passionate about the evolution of human consciousness individually and culturally (integral perspective); grew up farm girl and daughter of artificial inseminator; married at 18 and dumped at 30 (was sued for divorce for cruel and inhuman treatment when hubby ran off with another woman!); ended up on welfare with no work experience and no education beyond high school - and three little daughters to support - was a tough experience but am stronger for it.
