Traveler, Photographer and Writer.
I retired in 2004 at the age of 63 after 47 years of being a jack of all trades and master of none. By then, I had already visited all 50 States, so for a retirement gift to myself, I took a trip around the world visiting 14 countries. A large portion of the trip was by train crossing Europe and Asia. When that journey was done I wrote a book, One Orbit - Around the World in 63 Days, about it. My thirst for travel, photography and writing was not sated by that chapter in my life, In 2007, I took a road trip by motor home through all ten Provinces of Canada and two of its Territories. During that trip of four and a half months I also visited Alaska and Washington for three weeks each. The book covering the Canadian part of the trip, Oh! Canada!, has just been completed and I'm in search of a literary agent to help publish it. I am currently working on The FIFTY, a book covering my travels within the United States.
I maintain my own website on which I have my photography, poetry and a few short stories. I also maintain an online journal, in which I discuss the problems we face in this country today.
I am an independent thinker and voter and politically register slightly left of center, right there next to Mahatma Gandhi. I do not hold much fondness for either of the major political parties.
