Bio
Staunch liberal since the age of 13, but not a nut. It was a picture of Richard Nixon in my Weekly Reader that baptized me as a liberal. I was then confirmed at the age of 15 during a summer in Guatemala, where I was introduced to both unspeakable poverty and the American ambassador who couldn't speak a word of English.
I left the States in '02 for Italy, where, thanks to my Italian grandparents (and my own dogged persistence through the maze of Italian bureaucracy) I now have my Italian citizenship as well as my American. I will vote in my first Italian election in June '09. As I also vote in the States that means two international votes for progress!
I love living in Italy and also love going back to the States for visits.
