Bio
February 1, 2009-Time for an Update: I'm Back, from a very long Absence, a Period of Mourning, after Finding out all the Aches and Physical Ailments I had had a single Name: "Fibromyalgia!" Upon getting the Diagnosis, it felt as someone had punched me in the Stomach! I was in total Disbelief at the Dr.'s office, only cognizing it, after she said it the fourth time. You know what? I'll make this a Blog Article, and publish it soon. Lets just say that was my Xmas Gift I got in '08, something I don't wish on anyone, to have to Face it. Meanwhile, my Life has turned upside Down. However, regardless of that, I'll try to write here, once in a while, for I've not stopped Writing.
I still know little about Fibromyalgia,(denial, perhaps) except how it has already affected me, over the past 9 years, undiagnosed, losing my 2nd. husband to it, (see it below), at least, now I know what it IS!

This will have to wait! I tried writing it, and it ended up first 6,000-plus Words, then, upon "Editing" it, I ended up with an Incomplete Bio of over 8k Words. So, I'll have to work hard, to shorten it to, as YANNI once said: "To avoid being Melodramatic, I'll try to tell you something about myself, in two Sentences or less..." Bridge of Hope" Benefit Concert, Dallas, Texas, April, '90. I was present, and got to go Backstage...Long(er) Story!
Okay! I was born in Brasil (the "s" isn't a typo, that's how we, Brasilians spell it!). Came to the US to Study English, met and Married 2 different Men (separate Decades), have two grown Sons, one in Japan, w/ his Own Blog, http://www.luckyisle.com, the other living in the Mid-South-Central US. I've received various Awards in Drama, Photography, Writing and Music (I do/did all 4, at different Times). That's the Good Stuff!
The not so good Stuff: After two (2) Divorces, I'm done with Marriage, (name Changes--and presently, with Relationships, at all-- did not get to raise my Sons, (sob, sob). We re-connected in the late '90s, and $3,000 later); I wear my Manic Depression, like I wear my Gray Hair: as Symbols of Battles Won. I also deal with A.D.D. , (both common, to Artistic Types, like me), Post-Concussive Syndrome, and various Physical Ailments, which keep me firmly, unfortunately, on Disability. I wish to God, I was Working!!!
The amount of Writing I do, I should've BEEN able to, but my A.D.D., and Aphasic Brain, preclude me from being Prompt; keeping Track of things; even keeping appointments...w/ Doctors, (I go the Wrong Day, or forget to go the correct day). I did that at MacDonald's and La Quinta Inns, too.
I live alone, alternately battling Illnesses and Landlord; am currently, very much a Shut-in, sometimes not leaving my apt. for 1-2 weeks at a time. My days and nights are turned around, too. It happens once in a while, but this time, due to excessive Stress, it's been going on, since summer.
I Dream of so
