I'm disabled by MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) and chronic pain. I call myself insane because my first set of doctors called MCS psychosomatic. My MCS symptoms include Parkinsonism, severe exercise-exacerbated fibromyalgia everywhere, and peripheral neuralgia. That means every time I move the muscle pain gets worse -- and because of the Parkinsonism I can't stop moving. If I want to avoid symptoms, I must stay within a few feet of a powerful air filter. Air pollution makes even the outdoors harmful.
I developed my condition while working in a cubicle. Such a dangerous job!
I trained as a nuclear physicist in fusion not fission, but ended up a computer programmer. I've been a voracious, omnivorous reader all my life, especially as it's a way to handle pain. I'm mildly autistic (Asperger's).
