I am an engineer, business man and business consultant living in Pennsylvania with a wife and 2 grown sons. I try to look at both sides of an issue, but tend to the liberal side. I have always followed politics, though quietly, on a national level, but since the Bush administration, I have felt compelled to actually speak out with some of my views. I meet a fairly diverse cross section of the public on a daily basis and read alot, and I think this has taught me be more tolerant of opposing views, up to a limit.

I am amazed at what has transpired these last 7 years. I never thought it could happen here in America. One of my fears is that the experiences of the last 7 years are accepted by the american public as the norm. We cannot let this happen. We all deserve better, and we must speak out to get back on track, which I define as having people in power with a desire to consider what is best for all of the American people. Government is not bad, it is necessary, it is American. People who disdain government should not participate in it, and definitely should not run it.
