Starting with a 1969 rally at UCLA when I heard Joan Baez sing we shall overcome, the progressive movement has been at the center of my life. Occasionally directly involved with electoral politics, including the use of FIDONET (an early precursor to what we now see as the Internet) for Jerry Brown, I continue to believe in and support progressive politics and lifestyles in this country and elsewhere.
