Hillary's Chances: Growing Chorus Says It's Not Going To Happen

I continue to see the disgusting comments Obamaniacs make to Hillary. I will say it again, TO ALL HILLARY SUPPORTERS...STAY HOME IN NOVEMBER! OBAMANIACS INSULT HER, THEY'RE ALSO INSULT YOUR CHOICE.
The Obamaniacs continue to insult her, yet they seem to forget that one of Obama's most ardent supporters pulled the same thing back in 1980, except he took on a SITTING President. Ted Kennedy went to the convention farther behind than Hillary and he felt it was OK for him then! Delegates at the time included Ferraro, Howard Dean,! LOL!

Hillary does need to step down and go back to the Senate. She needs to concentrate on what she is paid to do, work in the Senate. She receives a paycheck from taxpayers to be a Senator, so earn it!

If the DNC doesn't want Florida or Michigan to be seated because of the rules, just reaffirm publicly what they said previously and that there will be no more discussion. Period! The Convention can go with 48 States and that's it! Why change the rules now. I mean, the DNC had a year to fix the problem, but sat on their asses and did nothing!

The DNC rules state that Super delegates are not to be bound by pledged delegates. This was determined back in the 80's and the DNC had ample opportunity to fix it since then! Yet all I hear is that Super Delegates must vote with the Pledged delegates, regardless of the RULES! If so, change the rule NOW, and tell them they must vote according to their constituency!

3) In regards to all of the anti Hillary commentators on this and other posts, I get the message. You don't like anything Hillary which also means her supporters! Fine, just say so! There's not that many of us that you can't pick up in the general right?

Clinton Camp Says It Will Use The Nuclear Option

His father left hime and his mother, yet he associates more to his father?
He also spoke about his faith and Rev. Wright as well, yet he makes statements about people clinging to their faith, (like he did), then sends the Rev. to the basement to pray with his family while he announces he is running for President.
Then he tried to spin the Rev. Wright story 4 different ways before settling on, I would've left the church had he not retired. The the honorable rev. made his infamous speech and Obama had no choice but to throw him under the bus!
Admit it, he's a politician, just like the others! posted 05/05/2008 at 23:06:54
So anyone who disagrees with you is intellectually deficient? That is a pretty elitist statement, and I don't think Obama would even say that.

Why can't Obama just close the deal with voters? He should easily win NC tomorrow with at least 15 points and 90% of the African American vote. And the Indiana vote should really be tight given Indianapolis' preference to Obama.

With his oratorical skills and perceived good judgement, he should have closed this down weeks ago in PA, but couldn't, sop people must be seeing something they don't like!

Judging by the number of insulting posts on the HuffPo from Obama supporters about Clinton supporters, it appears Obama supporters do not need, nor appear to want, any Clinton supporters in their camp. With that in mind, I feel that all of Clinton's supporters should just shut it down as soon as Obama wins the next 2 states and has a lead that cannot be overturned no matter what.

Knowing Obama supporters do not want you, go home and sit on your hands and keep your mouths shut. Obama supporters do not want you, so simply stay home in November. I mean, can't Obama win with half of the democrats? They seem to think so! posted 05/05/2008 at 23:01:14

On My Switch From Clinton to Obama

So if he has used the old style political game before, how do we know he's not doing it now? Jumping on the front running bandwagon to get a foot in the White House door when Obama wins? Maybe this is spin!

For 2008, Super delegates should go with their constituents who voted them into office. If they go for Obama, so should the Super delegates, If they vote for Clinton, same thing. They need to step up and say that is what they will do, but we all know it's their political future on the line and they will do what is necessary to keep their job no matter who wins. Obama is way ahead, and even with Florida and Mich, he's ahead. Term Limits need to be set for all Federal politicians! If the President is limited to 8 years, so should Senators and Congressmen. Then you won't have anymore lifetime politicians.

In 2012, I agree that it should be all primaries, all held on the same day, with the one with the most votes being the winner. No one should have 2 votes. If it should end in a tie, then the leader of the Party will have to cast the deciding vote (but what are the real chances of the happening?) As Obama said, a win is 50% + 1! posted 05/01/2008 at 12:46:02

Hillary Clinton And Bill O'Reilly Square Off On The Factor: Watch Video

SoulDrift, why resort to name calling when UltraCLassic only offered an opinion as to where Hillary needs to go to get a fair shake. You cannot argue that MSNBC has been fair. Or HuffPo, or WaPo, Daily Kos.
I have watched Keith O and he is in a heated battle with Chris Matthews to determine who can suck up to Obama the most. His interview with Clinton was so so, but he didn't go as soft on her as he has Obama.
MSNBC was the first to use race in this campaign on the night of the New Hampshire primary when Todd said that race may have played a factor in the outcome and Matthews, Russert and Olberman jumped all over that as away to explain Clintons win! Keith and Chris do not like it when HRC wins a primary, you can see it in their body language and facial expressions.
Fox, for some reason, has been the most "Fair and Balanced" news organization on cable when it comes to the Democratic race, and their ratings bear that out. While Keith likes to point out every time he beats Bill O in the ratings and key demographics, Keith should be fair and point out every time Bill O beats him, but then he'd be doing that daily. Even Greta beats him during his repeat later in the evening.
MSNBC is not offering balanced coverage, so why watch? I quit and moved to FOX and CNN. posted 05/01/2008 at 12:29:15

So what if Lincoln was a republican. Are you against Lincoln? And even Obama has complimented what Reagan did.
Ask Obama what he thinks of Lincoln and Reagan. He will disagree with you, but he won't disavow you for having a differing opinion, at least not until you make another comment like this.

Clinton camp loves FOX because of all networks, FOX has been the m,ost balanced. Not that it's saying much about the other networks though.
NBC - Russert - has a hate on for Clinton. the beady eyes are just creepy!
ABC - Usually good, but was a little questionable on the debate
CBS - Who?
MSNBC - Norah O'Donnell, makes the Clinton cackle seem livable. Andrea - doesn't like HRC, loves Obama, keeps thinking of Mr. Money at home!!! Chris - well he just has the leg thing going for him these days, but takes his shots at HRC whenever possible, but really says nothin - HA! Keith Olderman, really does look old, always angry and judging by his Letterman appearance, needs to go on a diet! All the WaPo boys really need to get over this love thing with Obama.
FOX, always appear to be balanced these days (notice I didn't say fair!), and something must be happening on the ratings side as they keep promoting the hell out of that these days. They're all older, more seasoned people. I think they've been sleeping as they seem well rested, except Hannity almost is acting like Olderman, and seems angry all the time!
CNN - John King should be doing Wolf's job. AC's doing a good job too. Campbell, not so much.

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean May Intervene In Dem Primary

The florida legislature is controlled by Republicans, yet many of you feel the democrats should be punished and their votes not be counted. I agree that Michigan needs to redo their primary because it wasn't the same for all, but Florida was, so their votes and delegates should count.
If not, Florida stays GOP.

I would like to know what the Super Delegate count would be for each candidate if all Super delegates voted according to the will of their constituents (god forbid!).
Many say they should vote with the overall popular vote, but they should vote according to the people that elected them, and for those appointed delegates, they should also vote according to their constituents, regardless of who they would like to support.
Then, all candidates would have to run their campaigns without any outside influences.
If I had a State Senator vote opposite to what the overall state voted in the primary, then that Senator should be voted out of office at the next election. Same goes in cases of county, mayoral seats etc.. Example: If a mayor supports candidate A, but the city as a whole voted for candidate B, then the mayor should vote for candidate B as those are the people he serves.
I don't care who has the most delegates after that because it would be fair and would take the vote out of the Super Delegates hands and puts it right back into the public's hands, as it should be. posted 04/24/2008 at 19:55:16

So if Clinotn closes the gap in NC, then she should stay in because she is predicted to lose big, and I mean big. If she doesn't lose as big, then she closed the gap, what will the pundits say then? posted 04/24/2008 at 16:50:46

You cannot say all in Michigan who voted other would have voted for Obama. Use the same split as in Florida. posted 04/24/2008 at 16:26:49
Superdelegates should vote the same way as the constituents they represent, regardless of who they support. If they currently support Obama, but their state, county, voted Clinton, then that's how they should vote, period. Same holds true for the other side.
They should come out with that as soon as possible. That way, at least the remaining states know if their elected, appointed representative will support their vote. If they don't, then maybe those super delegates should be thrown out of office next time around for not voting according to the wishes of their constituents.
Example: Kennedy supports Obama, but his state supports Clinton, then he should go Clinton as he is representing Mas. If not, then the voters of Mass. should vote him out of office when he comes up for re-election.
If a mayor supports Clinton but the people in that constituency voted Obama, then the mayor must go for Obama, or get voted out of office in the next election. posted 04/24/2008 at 16:25:42
But not by much. You can't count all votes against HRC in Michigan as being for Obama. Take the remaining and split them between the candidates who were in the race at the time, which would put Obama at about 30% tops. Edwards would probably have polled well.
Better yet, hold another primary in Michigan and get both campaigns to pay for it!
Florida should go as is because all candidates handled Florida the same way except for the little Obama advertising that flowed into North Florida from neighbouring states TV stations (which was no ones fault).
That will settle those states once and for all. posted 04/24/2008 at 16:18:19
Who's the winner? I thought the winner was to get to 2025? Did I miss something? Last I heard is no one has 2025 yet, which is the majority. Like Obama said the other day, 50% + 1 is the winner. posted 04/24/2008 at 16:12:45
Yup. Kiss off Michigan and Florida, and if Hillary is FORCED from the campaign, or if there is any appearance she was forced, then kiss off a lot of her supporters too!

While it appears she will not win, stranger things have happened.

The dems are doing what they do best...self destructing.

If by any chance Clinton gets the popular vote (FL/MI in) and Obama has the primary delegates, and the supers go with the primary delegates, then that says to me the Dems are finally admitting Bush rightfully won the 2000 race against Gore. Gore got the popular vote, but Bush got the Electoral College vote, which is the same as the delegate vote. posted 04/24/2008 at 16:11:06

To me, a persons character means as much as an issue. It's a package deal, so all should be open completely to scrutiny.

My main problem is no one has specifically said how much they will spend overall to achieve their stated policies, and how they will pay for it. This country cannot afford more debt.

Even if the U.S. gets out of Iraq, that still doesn't explain how money will be raised to pay for everything promised. To me, that's just politics as usual, regardless of candidate. posted 04/22/2008 at 13:45:16

Michael Moore Endorses Obama, Calls Clinton Tactics "Disgusting"

You'd support a maximum wage law until you reached that maximum, then you'd be whining!
Why not go for:
Term limits for all elected government officials to 8 years,
Balanced budget legislation so deficits would be illegal,
No gold plated pension plans for any government officials (this would include the Senators, Congressmen, VP, Prez, Cabinet Secretaries and so on), Elimination of earmarks,
Guarantee that any declaration for war must receive a minimum of 60% Senate and Congressional approval,
All elections would be limited in time and cost, and cost would be paid out of public fund to a specific maximum. Example: 60 day election time frame with a 30 million dollar limit. That would save money for more important things. This would basically eliminate special interest groups.
All primaries to be held on same day, secret ballot, highest vote taker wins it all!
Just think, an election in November would mean the campaign would start in September, and for primaries, if the main campaign starts in September, then the primary would be in June. That's it. No more 18-24 months. posted 04/22/2008 at 17:33:22

Home losses can be attributed in part to the fact people try to buy a house outside their affordable means. People do have to take some responsibility in that. It can't alway be someone else's fault. If the government bails a lot of people out, what about those that actually handled buying a house properly? Will they get anything? No!
2 wars. One was warranted. Afghanistan. The troops should have stayed in large numbers until Bin Laden was done for. The other, well, the U.S. shouldn't have gone in, but it's too late to look back now. The only good thing that came out of that war is that 100's of thousands of people are no longer being raped and tortured each year by Hussein, but I haven't heard anybody even mention that.
40 year old acquaintances, I agree , this is a non issue. Ayers should have gone to jail and he should be sorry for what he did, but none of that had anything to do with Barack. That being said, both sides use the acquantencies issue, and if not them, then the media does.

ABC Debate: High Ratings, Critics Give Broadcast Poor Reviews

Obviously not as many were upset at the debate as thought. They retained most of the audience and even grew the 18-49 category.
The Huffington Post is pro Obama, MSNBC is really in love with Obama (Just ask Olderman and Matthews - both have mancrush's on Obama, especially Chris!), Daily Kos is way left and dearly loves Obama, NBC drools over Obama, CNN is usually an Obama fan, but sometimes they can't seem to figure out the way people are going so they try to hedge their bets, FOX is now a Clinton supporter unless she's bad mouthing McCain.
Whenever a Clinton supporter chimes in on the blogs, it seems the vitriol from Obama fans come out in full force, which is in direct opposition to the way Obama feels politics should be.
Most of the bloggers are Obama supporters so no surprise there.
I'm surprised there wasn't this much hullabaloo when MSNBC/NBC or CNN had there Obama lovefest debates. Oh wait, I think I just figured out why few blogs complained...because they were in love with Obama, with legs a tingling, and american pride coming out finally.
Yes sir, Obama's the one with the Wright stuff!

The Very Serious Debate, Starring The Very Serious George & Charlie

Not sure what all of the uproar is about from last nights debate. It was really no different than previous debates other than the target this time was Obama instead of Clinton. That's it!
Gibson and Stephanopolous are the mirror images of Russert and Williams. CNN is unlucky in that they do not have a tag team worth of comparison. (Although, that could be a good thing!)

What If ABC Held a Debate, but Forgot to Show Up?

ABC did what NBC/MSNBC and CNN did in the past, only difference is where the bias was. This time it was in favour of Clinton, whereas all the others were in favour of Obama. Gibson/Stephanopolous are mirror images of Russert/Williams.
They did miss one question though...did Hillary need a cushion? posted 04/17/2008 at 13:59:52

Hillary And The Commies

You mean targeted the same way Clinton has been by the media throughout the campaign? This debate was the same as others, albeit with one difference. This time, for the first time, the target was Obama instead of Clinton. Amazing how people react when he gets hammered. The panel was prejudiced, as were Russert/Williams in their debate where they went after Hillary, or CNN when they threw softballs to Obama but not Clinton.
It's no different folks, just the target!
In regards to the Ayers story, he was part of the Weather Underground, a home grown terrorist group in the 60's who bombed various Government buildings.
Ayers was part of the Weather Underground when a bomb the group was making exploded at a New York townhouse killing three people. He fled and spent years as a fugitive. He met and married fellow fugitive and WU leader Bernadine Dohrn during that period. Ayers, to this day, feels he did nothing wrong and has nothing to apologise for.
Ayers, now a professor, was on the board of the Woods Fund with Obama and was introduced to Obama at Ayers house during Obama's run for State Senator. There is no proof, none, that Ayers had any other association with Obama other than a $200 donation.
As Obama said, you can't use guilt by association with this and he's right. But his campaign also does the same thing in regards to Clinton, so where does that leave him? posted 04/17/2008 at 14:31:55

The ABC Debate: A Shameful Night for the U.S. Media

I didn't know it was against the law to make money!
Obama may not be elitist, its' just that he sounds elitist. It's like he talks down to people!
But Obama did put on 4 fundraisers in one day in San Francisco that were not open to the public at $2300 a head for 3 and $1000 a head for the other. One was in Getty's house (now there's an elitist) where he made the clinging comment. Raised $3-4 million that day. So with all of the wealthy business types attending, do you think they expect any type of "you scratch my hand, I'll scratch yours" stuff to happen later if Obama is elected?
If he wants to change government, he needs to do more than just win the presidency. He needs to change most of the life long Senators and Congressmen. But he won't, because many are his supporters, which is politics as usual. Establish term limits for all Federally elected officials in the same way as is for President. Then fresh ideas will keep flowing to Washington as new people come in. Seems to easy doesn't it? posted 04/17/2008 at 13:46:25

I'm in Canad right now and listen and watch the media here, and there is nothing of the sort all over the airwaves about any "official" letters from Clinton about NAFTA.
The main story is about Afghanistan, the military and then Hockey!
Many Canadians do want NAFTA renegotiated as they feel they can get more for Oil, Hydroelectric power, Natural gas, Softwood Lumber and so on. They got screwed out of $2 Billion dollars in the Softwood dispute and many want it back, so reopening the agreement may very well lead to increased energy cost in the U.S..
Does anyone realize that NAFT also added jobs in the U.S.? Why doesn't anyone report that?
The story about Obama's rep contacting the Canadian Government consulate in Chicago was true and there was going to be a review underway as to who leaked the story, but probably won't happen.
The ABC debate last night was actually a mirror image of the Russert/Williams debate previously. Then they were going after Clinton.
Seems odd the media decries this debate, but not the NBC/MSNBC debate. Makes you wonder where the bias really is. posted 04/17/2008 at 13:30:40

Survey USA now has HRC ahead in Indiana by 16 points this week, whereas ARG had her up by 9 last week.
Obama is up 20 in NC according to PPP poll, but I don't see the HuffPo or anyone disagreeing with that poll. Oh wait, that's because the HuffPo is in the tank for Obama!

Florida should be seated as is. All candidates were on the ballot, and none actively campaigned.
Michigan needs to redo the primary, but if they do not get their say, Michigan will go GOP in the fall!
So if whe does end up with the popular vote, or wins every large state, then what? Neither candidate has enough to win outright,a nd according to the DNC, Superdelegates were established to give a calm and reasoned vote without pressure or interference form any candidate. Right now, I would say that both sides are interfering.
The superdelegates should vote based on how their own constituents voted, regardless of who they publicly stated they support! Most of them are elected, so they need to follow those who elected them. So if, for example, a Superdelegate Senator from New York supports Obama, they should vote for HRC as she won the state. Same goes for Iowa. A HRC supporter should go for Obama! Same goes for districts. Go for the majority winner in that district. Isn't that what democracy is about?
Primaries, caucuses? Why can't politicians do it the easy way. One person, one secret ballot, all done in one day. Most votes wins! posted 04/14/2008 at 21:33:11

In regards to not watching the show, I just check the websites and see clips of Matthews drooling on YouTube! Then there are the anti Olberman and Matthews websites which are lots of fun.
Olderman managed to give a 9 minute spepcial comment on Ferraro's comments, but no special rant on the Rev Wright story!

Bosnia is an old story, but if you insist on replaying an old story, let's go back to the Reverend Wright issue shall we, or perhaps the Michelle Obama "I'm proud of my country for the first time in my adult life" comment, or how about that Obama said he was a product of the Selma march, yet he was born before the Selma march, or about how all of his donations are from the average $10-$20 donors, yet on April 6 in San Francisco he held 4 fundraisers (one put on by the mega rich Getty's!) with only the wealthy invited. 3 of them were $2300 a head and one was $1000 a head. Made over $3 million from his rich, elite friends that day. Do that for 10 days and all of a sudden it's 30 million from the Uber rich! Sounds like politics as usual!
Wonder what favours he has promised from that? That was where he made the bitter statement where people form PA and the midwest cling to their guns and religion and anti immigration thoughts! posted 04/13/2008 at 15:56:34
This is no surprise...nothing new. He even shows the comments from months ago.
Why does Russert spend more time on this than on what Obama just said a week ago in front of his millionaire backers in San Francisco (who paid $2300 to hear him speak) about people and their guns and clinging to religion.
I watched Russert's Meet The Press infomercial on Obama this morning and it got tiring after a while. He blows off the Obama story and spends the rest of the time trying to take down HRC and McCain. It wouldn't be so bad if he would have shown some journalistic integrity and really does this for all candidates, but he doesn't. God, even FOX is more balanced these days. Just shows how biased NBC and MSNBC really are. Can't wait for tonight when Obama gets the softballs on compassion from Campbell Brown and friends on CNN like last time.
How about if we repeat the Wright comments all over again like Russert has with this. Wait, we can't do that, because everyone would say that was racist....

Obama 'Small Town' Comments Draw Fire, Support

I agree, Toobin is droolin' for Obama and Jack, well he's just an old man looking for an audience. Cnn has shown it's bias, as has MSNBC, towards Obama, just as Fox has for McCain, but Fox of all channels has by far been the most balanced. (Fox, don't take that as too much of a compliment because it isn't too balanced!). Clinton is just a target for all. It's like payback for all media towrds HRC.
The press is trying to sway voters their way, and with that and the money being spent this election season to buy votes, is it any wonder people are discouraged? I'm actually amazed at how close the race really is. Almost as if voters were ignoring a lot of the news channels.

What Obama said was wrong and it doesn't matter how you spin it, it's wrong. It will cost him in PA, but probably not elsewhere until the General election. His judgement is now coming more and more into question along with his attitude towards others. He is coming across as aloof, appears to talk down to people who don't hold his views, stands there with his head cocked looking to the sky. To me he just oozes smugness. Maybe that's just his way!

Unfortunately, with only 3 candidates left, not much to choose from. posted 04/12/2008 at 18:05:39

Not Until the Fat Lady Sings

And this response just shows why the democratic party could be doomed. Members of Obama's campaign were calling on her to get out of the race.
What you are asking her to do is to shut down her right to run for office? Yet you would be the first to scream if someone shut down one of your rights!
I don't care which one wins but I also know it takes 2025 votes to win, and neither has the votes to declare victory yet. This is how the DNC set it up, so every state needs to vote. After all, that is the democratic way! Once that is done, the superdelegates need to step up and vote publicly. If no winner is declared, it's off to the convention.
I know HRC has lied, as has BO and JM. Isn't that what politicians do? It's just who does it better. I haven't really heard any discussion about issues and how much the promises will really cost. No one is putting a price tag to the promise totals, or how they will raise the cash to do that.
Raising taxes on the top 2% will not be enough. Stopping the war will not be enough.
Each candidate should agree to Balanced Budget legislation and also term limits for all Federally elected politicians to match the Presidential term limit of 8 years.
