McSame refuses to sign the GI bill, says it's "too generous" for those that are putting their lives on the line for us. He cares so much about the 4,000 of our miltary that have died, that he wants another 4,000 to die in the next 5 years. The Repubs put our troops through stop losses where they can't even get home, and when they do, they are in sorry shape and the Repubs don't care. One trillion dollars of debt and the Repubs want to double that for another 5 years until we are completely beholden to the Chinese and our economy bankrupted. McCain is on video tape saying that he will talk to the terrorist organization of Hamas, and then he lied about it (probably doesn't understand youtube). Repubs hide behind metal label pins while their constant scandals and reckless spending drives us into the ground.

Democrats care about our troops, and care about our country. Democrats are the true patriots. posted 05/16/2008 at 16:50:02

Clinton Protest Voters for McCain

Zanti -- you have a habit of not addressing the issue and instead attacking the person or something else petty like their use of quotes. And then you wonder why you are in return treated with hostility and not taken seriously. posted 05/17/2008 at 03:56:58
This doesn't help anyone --cut it out. posted 05/17/2008 at 03:54:19
Thanks Zanti, but I still have questions.

According to RCP, Obama is ahead 153 pledged delegates, and 173 total delegates ahead, which doesn't seem close to me. Whenever I see the delegate number reported, MSNBC, CNN, RCP etc -- I always see both the pledged delegate number, and the total delegate number for both Obama and Hillary. I don't see them reporting Obama's numbers in a different way or using a different metric than the way they report on Hillarys. About the media, I think the media's motives are ratings. Although I agree that very early on, the media was easy on Obama, I've seen him crucified by the media 24/7 since March. I also think that after Hillary lost 12 races in a row, it became clear that Hillary mathmatically had a very little chance of catching up in pledged delegates. And yet, the media still followed her narrative -- such as Rocky, fighter, come-back kid etc.

Perhaps the popular vote is one metrics that the SDs may consider, but there are others --delegate numbers, states won, electability etc. I also still question why caucus states are not counted in the popular vote. This seems very unfair, that my vote doesn't count in this metric. If MI (no Obama on the ballot) and FI are counted, why not caucus states? I just think Hillary's popular vote totals should be fair and consistent. It doesn't help her case with voters in caucus states to be disenfranchised by her. posted 05/17/2008 at 03:34:39
This is not "women" that have an issue with the DNC, please don't stereotype me in with you. I am an Obama supporter and I do not have a problem with the Democratic party. Actually, watching the Dem party stand up to Bush lately as made me very proud of them.

I also don't see sexism everywhere as some seem to do. Does sexism exist? Sure. But if you're constantly crying wolf over everything all the time, people tend to not listen. posted 05/17/2008 at 03:10:23
You complain,

"Anyway, I've been told to take a nap, take a Paxil, get some sleep, stomp my feet, etc. The winner, to date, is strifeknot for "Don't get your panties in a bunch, sweetie." Very progressive sort, that strifeknot, whoever he or she is."

And yet you attack, "Are you one of those "I can make it without meds!" types?".

Hypocrisy is hard to take seriously. If you want to be heard, you have to hear other people, respectfully. posted 05/17/2008 at 02:54:30
I've got a few questions. I've heard some Hilary supporters say that they will vote for McSame if Hillary is not the nominee, because they want to punish Obama and the DNC.

Q--the rules that everyone signed up for is that one with the most delegates wins the Dem nomination. This is not determined by Obama or the DNC, it's determined by the voters and the proportional delegates. If Obama is winning the most delegates, by American voters -- why punish Obama or the DNC?

Q-If the winner is determined by delegates, why all the talk about popular vote? Also, why do some Hillary supporters count the popular vote from the states that don't currently count, FL and MI -- even though Obama wasn't on the ballot? And why don't they count the popular vote from caucus states that do count, like Washington state? Why does my state, amongst the other caucus states not important to Hillary in her popular vote count -- I want my vote to count also. Why is it wrong to not count FL or MI, but it's okay to not count caucus states in the popular vote?

Q-If Hillary supporters are complaining of sexism in the DNC, and will in turn vote Republican, can anyone tell me how many Republican female senators or governors are currently in office? posted 05/17/2008 at 02:43:27
I really don't understand this. Obama is winning fair and square. Sorry if you don't think caucuses are democratic, but the process was in place before we begun this race and we all knew it, including Hillary. It's not Obama's fault that he was well prepared and Hillary conceded whole states. It's not Obama's fault that Hillary expected a coronation on February 5th and she didn't have a feasible long-term strategy after that.

I also resent the constant crying wolf and victim mentality and whining about sexism. Sure sexism exists, but you and your followers have become so overly sensitive that you frankly see it everyone, even where it doesn't exist. As a woman, I want to perceived as strong and capable, and accountable for my mistakes. Hillary too --- should be accountable for her mistakes in running her campaign. Trying to cover for her mistakes by blaming others of sexism doesn't change the facts. My state has two female senators and a female governor, and none of them complain about sexism, ever. They do a great job, and that speaks for itself. posted 05/16/2008 at 12:34:57
