Bio
Eco activist, designer, writer, documentary filmmaker. Jerry is extremely concerned by the threats posed by Global Warming to the life support systems on our planet. He has been involved in working on ecological issues for over ten years. After sustaining a serious back injury in 2004, he rededicated his life to working full-time on environmental issues. Drawing on his experience in the jewelry industry and jewelry design, in 2006 Jerry began developing eco-friendly sustainable jewelry manufacturing techniques and designed the Stop Global Warming Collection. His passion to actively contribute to the world-wide efforts to stop anthropogenic climate change led to his partnership with Laurie David and StopGlobalWarming.org. Togther they launched Cool Planet Jewelry's StopGlobalWarming Collection to raise both funds and awareness to the most important issue facing humanity today.
The company Jerry founded, Cool Planet Jewelry, uses recycled precious metal exclusively in all of their creations and utilizes entirely sustainable manufacturing techniques. In December 2007, Cool Planet Jewelry was awarded Green America's green business certification, good for people and planet. In addition to his work with StopGlobalWarming, he also is designing for the WorldTrust Foundation, the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies and 350.org. Jerry works full time on issues related to global warming and is an expert on anthropogenic climate change. His other related work includes an 8-part television series on Chemical Pollution in the Southern Ocean and ice-mass loss in Antarctica; and working to see that federal EPA regulations are strengthened and enforced.
