Paul McCartney Vs Locals Over Free Quebec Concert

nothing like spending ten minutes crafting a thoughtful response to have it excluded.
i think that this is my last post on here. posted 07/19/2008 at 14:54:54
Why would my saying one country is multicultural have to imply *all* others are not?
Not everything has to be us vs. them, or f.u., or b&w, every time does it? posted 07/18/2008 at 23:30:53
One of the most beautiful things about Canada is that we can have two cultures living together with no walls, no wars, no looming genocide. Beyond the official two cultures/languages, we have hundreds of cultures living side by side everywhere. A metaphor for the world's potential.
don't try to cheapen that Quebec City. Your birthday is for everyone to celebrate. posted 07/18/2008 at 10:02:49

House easily passes compromise surveillance law

Do lobbyists bribe or just badger? How do they get influence over such BS policies like this? Peer pressure? I mean it is nuts to me. Pelosi et al, history doesn't forget. shame. posted 06/20/2008 at 10:18:36

Not Until the Fat Lady Sings

Just because he is young doesn't mean he is inexperienced. It isn't all black or white, you know. Just because Hilary is old doesn't mean she is experienced. There's more to reality then the shallow narrative you're being fed by the media you choose to follow. Do some research, think with your brain and not your 'gut.' What you write is not very close to reality, it is close to what a Clinton supporter would feel/assume. The world is shades of gray, not B&W. Look at any day's headlines, Obama is not 'made,' if anything that honour belongs to McCain. posted 04/01/2008 at 13:48:59

Chelsea Clinton Asked About Monica Lewinsky Again, Watch Video

She's a grown up, making a public appearance. Family values issues etc. are common as dirt in Am. politics. Plus she's a grown-up, people are asking her the questions. You want attention (for whatever reason) there's a cost, i.e. attention. She'll be asked this question at every stop from now on by people wanting to make the news so she better come up with a clever, honest, adult answer at some point. "None of your business" would work if he were still 16, but, it is a valid question.

"Did your mom stick it out with your dad for the sole reason of protecting her precious right-wing support in her inevitable presidential run?" Valid question, leads to- "How much is your mother driven by a desire to make the US better and how much is she driven by personal ambition?" Which is a question many are worried about, especially in light of the [pathetic] resume padding she has got caught doing these last few weeks. posted 03/31/2008 at 18:24:21

Lara Flynn Boyle's Face Prompts Alarm

What's the Huffington Post for? People are creating this kind of content, these stories, and the Huffington Post links to them. But, shouldn't these stories be ignored? I mean, Jessica Simpson had a UTI, and it is a huge headline. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/31/jessica-simpson-released-_n_94325.html

Why the Administration Won't Define Success in Iraq

It may be partially that they're afraid of another "Mission Accomplished." They seem to operate in a sort of shallow 'pissing-contest' kind of way, so it may just be a matter of saving face, or making certain they can never lose face again. I wouldn't say 100% of their motivation was that, but it's in their somewhere. posted 03/28/2008 at 19:02:44

Mayhem At Fox News: Anchor Walks Off Set, Wallace Rails Network For "Obama-Bashing"

What does Mike Wallace, (the king?) think of his son's channel? I bet he was disappointed. I was, I used to like Chris Wallace, but then I was just a kid. posted 03/21/2008 at 16:34:15
I know nothing about Brian Kilmeade, I imagine he's a knob like the other two and everyone I have seen affiliated with Fox News, (Chris Wallace, c'mon man! I used to respect you.) But at least he has some integrity deep down. He'll live more easily with himself in 20 years when this whole period is up for Historians to analyze. Good goin'. posted 03/21/2008 at 16:32:42

CNN Trivializes Iraq and Hits a New Low

Wolf or 'his people' can be reached here. Ask him to snap out of it, and pay attention; the very least a journalist can do when it comes to all of this horror and death his govt is spreading around the world.

I agree, BODYBAGS... I wasn't surprised to see Wolf Blitzer at the end of that piece (of flip, shallow, offensive drivel.) Wolf Blitzer should think back to Dan Rather or Walter Cronkite, probably their coverage of the Vietnam War is what inspired him to become a journalist. He should think back and remember the responsibility journalists have to the country. He should think back and feel ashamed and a sense of his own (at best) futility and (at worst) role in this vacuous news coverage. The war is FIVE YEARS OLD, that doesn't make it old news it makes it daily more and more urgent and horrible.

What's Wolf Blitzer's email address? We need to post it on here and keep it being reposted so we can let him know to get to work, and not essentially just spend 24 hrs. a day reading a copy of People magazine over the air. posted 03/21/2008 at 09:27:49
