I'm a 46 year old man. I am a fervent Obama supporter and have been a Democrat all my life. As a son of a second generation Irish American and Teamster, I am so proud of my working class roots. My father is the surviving member of a family 13 strong who worked in the coal mines and fought in WWII and the Korean War. My father is a Korean vet and my older brother is a Vietnam vet.
I am the first in my family to receive a college education actually I have a Masters degree in Chemistry. I am married to a beautiful woman who just happens to be African American and her and my 81 year old dad are the best of friends. I had worked over 20 years in the paper industry working on ways to more efficiently recycle paper. However I became disabled from the effects of a chemotherapy drug I took over 12 years ago for treatment of Hodgkin's Disease that damaged my heart beyond repair. So suffice to say I lost my job and health insurance thanks to our Medieval health care system. Fortunately I am clinically stable but need major advancements in medical research like stem cell research to recover fully. Obviously this election is more important for me than most and that's why I am such an adamant Obama supporter.
