I retired 3 yrs ago from Federal Government service after 40 plus years. I am an African-American mother and grandmother, born in Washington, D.C. raised in Arlington, VA. I am Catholic, attended Catholic schools through high school and some college (Trinity). I am a Democrat who was present at March on Washington and other seminal moments in the nation's political history since the civil rights era. I have always been a political junkie and feel I am a pretty good prognosticator and predictor of political trends. I have seen every president that I've wanted to see since Eisenhower. (i.e.,I did not go out of my way to see Reagan, George Bush Senior or Junior, or Gerald Ford. The only reason I saw Nixon was because he required that federal employees rotate to make up crowds at public events. I was "chosen" twice.) I enjoy reading, writing (currently writing novel), movie classics, music and politics.
