"Liberalism" is religion... for me... and as such, I will not be found lacking when the time comes to say, "I told you so."

I have previously argued that one must choose the "lesser-of-two-evils"... but I'm done with that. I will stay home rather than vote for the Neo-Con-Hillary.

The genuine left has been under siege by the Republicans as well as the calculating conservative Dems... I won't assist them in disreputing the correct political methodology. I'm done with half-assed compromises. Never again.... and "never" Hillary. posted 04/26/2008 at 11:17:34

The Leftist rationale of the Democratic Party has been under fire from the Repubs and the Con-Dems..... and it is time to stop with the "lesser-of-two-evils" crap.

I will be on the correct side of history... and will not be counted among the many who will "settle" for a Neo-Con-Hillary. When the time comes to say, "I told you so", I will be able to say it with the clear conscience of having boycotted the coronation. posted 04/26/2008 at 09:28:44

... sadly... your primal dullitude is showing...

depending on the focus of the culture, wisdom is described in various verbiage. Newton was living in the age of enlightenment... where science was the focal point... and so described the law as , "every action has equal and opposite reaction."

When cultures whose focal point was more along the lines of your taunted superstitions... in the East they described Karma as a balancing force... where-as in Judeo-Christian verbiage... the same observation was described thusly... "As you give so shall you receive."

all the same observations... but not the same wording.... so there, Mr Politico.

But, since you appear to want the conversation to veer-off into girly things,,, having mentioned it twice... why not address the fact that the sh!t in Hill's bed is of her own making?... a consequence of her decisions and calculations. Sleeze is her comstant companion. You, Mr Schlesinger, need to stop blaming things "other -than-Clinton" for the trail of slime that follows her like some giant bannana slug camoflaged in a pantsuit.

It's called karma... and she can't escape it any more than you or I can ecsape ours.... and this is an important aspect of karma... nobody but Hill can create 'her' karma. IOW... whatever sh!t she's crawling through must be an aspect of her own creation. That's the immutable rule.

history repeats... even in the same generation . If you watch with an accurate eye... you will see two camps of boomers here.... and with properly applied imagination you can visualize the posture they held at "Woodstock".

The boomers that were at "Woodstock" to express the herd mentality, partake in free sex and drugs... they are your Hill supporters. They believe that "politics" is a game of winners and losers. They walked away from "Woodstock" into Corporate America... and applied their short-sighted mentality to the business of acquiring money and power. They have always been cannibals... and always will be cannibals.... correction....... not cannibals... they are viral. No life force of their own... so they suck-off the life force of the living.

Obama supporters are the remnants of the "Woodstockers" who were there to shake-up status-quo.... along with a new generation of would-be idealists. Sadly, Hill and her support are Nixonian in their knee-capping.

You Hillbillys say politics is about winning. Bullsh!t!!!!

Cynicism and stupidity... and conservatism... form a triple redundancy. Your article is a great example of cynical conservative stupidity... as it is entirely lacking any optimism and faith in mankind... which are the lifeblood of a genuine liberal.

Carter's Hamas Hallucination

......... The Law...

Friggin' Moses. I don't happen to see 'eye to eye' with the 'an eye for an eye' doctrine.

When he returned from the Burning Bush, ten laws in hand, including what turned out to be inconvenient...... 'Thou shalt not kill'......... he found his followers 'unrestrained' as they 'reveled' around a golden calf. After smashing the tablets in a fit of rage, Moses called the Levites to himself, and commanded that they should "kill each one his brother, each one his fellow, and each one his intimate aquaintance."

After Moses has calmed down, he and his followers went on a 40 year long hike. Moses made time to write the first 5 books of the Old Testament........ and they pillaged as many villages as they came to so long as they belonged to the Amorites, Caananites, Perizzites, the Hitites, or the Jebuzites. Steered clear of other villages, as per God's/Moses' command. De. 20: 10-18

This "thou shalt not kill" thing, was inconvenient...... "you must strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of your sword. Devote it and everything that is in it, and it's domestic animals, to destruction at the edge of the sword..." De. 13:15

For me... my take on this... I would not make fun of a faith, but....

the Catholic Institution is not a religion... it is a religious "Institution".
Jesus was the greatest of the Anti-establishmentarians...
Catholicism is an Establishment... and by definition doesn't fit in Jesus' plan of action.

Those who might have escaped the tyranny of the Church can be likened to the dogs and sows in Peter:

2 Peter 2:15-25 (bits and pieces)
They have left the straight way... These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity"for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.
"A dog returns to its vomit," "and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."

don't forget... Jesus entered Jerusalem 2000 years ago... pointed to the leaders of the "established" church and publicly proclaimed them, "Sons of vipers and swine!"

Pushing Clinton: CNN's Push Poll on Obama's Remarks

lolol... old soldiers are the 'best' soldiers.

when Geronimo grabbed a small band of Apaches from the reservation and headed back to the mountains... renegades... the Army was hot on their heels...

Two elder Apache ( an old man and an old woman) volunteered to buy some time for the band to get away...
They were traveling through a canyon that was necessary for the Army to traverse in pursuit... so at the entrance to the canyon... each elder got a rife and traveled down the rim... on opposite sides to the end of said canyon. When the Army in the floor of the canyon reached the near end... one elder started shooting... and pinned them down. The Army had to send a soldier clear back to the entrance and along the rim to dispatch the first elder. Then... the Army believed it was in the clear... came out only to be pinned down by the second shooter on the second rim. By the time a second soldier went all the way back and traversed the second rim to dispatch the second elder... the band had gotten away.

Example: - there are somewhere between 600,000 to 1 million dead in Iraq... as a consequence of the particular emotion which you have denied... AKA, "bitterness".

Refusing to use a particular term to describe the rising of white-hot emotion doesn't make it one thing or another. I could say we killed the citizenry in Iraq over 'affability'... but it doesn't make it so.

Refusing the term 'bitter' doesn't alter the end consequence... the consequence of whatever you want to name it. posted 04/13/2008 at 13:42:18
He's absolutely right... bitterness runs rampant and deep.

... in fact, people are so bitter, if a person converses with too many words with three or more syllables... the white-hot poker comes out and they are branded "Elitist".

I am bitter... that having an education has become a liability when politicing around backward-ass conservative throwback types in either political party.

"NASTY!!!"

... if I were going to create a 'companion'... I would obviously create one with 'no appetite'... because I find appetites distasteful.

More than distasteful...

They encite rage in me.

I know this about myself... because I know much.

Aw, fug-it.

I'm feeling particularly abusive this millenium.

Skitzo in fact.

I'll try a small experiment...

When I leave for work in the morning... I'm going to leave a nice juicy hamburger in the center of the kitchen floor...

I'll point my finger at my dog... and say, "If you touch that hamburger while I am gone... I'm going to do terrible things to you with a fork."

Then, when I get home from work to discover the hamburger gone, I will feign rage... go to the grill for the fork... and have some strange pleasure.

I'm worthy of praise and love from that dog... aren't I?

It friggin better love me... or I'm gonna kick it. That will work.

... the next day... another hamburger.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

... I set-up an obstacle for my dog... when I am sated with violating it with the grill fork... I put it in a closed room... with only one route of escape... the size of the 'eye of a needle'. posted 04/02/2008 at 08:14:12

Woe to you who are versed in the Law! For you weigh men down with burdens hard to bear Luke 11:46

"The sting producing death is sin, but the power of sin is the Law." (1 Co. 29:56) "For it was not through Law that Abraham nor his seed had the promise that he should be heir of a world. But it was through righteousness by faith. For if those who adhere to the law are heirs, faith has been made useless, and the promise has been abolished.. In reality, the law produces wrath, but where there is no law, neither is there any transgression. On this account it was as a result of faith...for the promise to all his seed, not only to that which adheres to Law, but also to those who adhere to the faith of Abraham." Ro. 4: 13-16

"Why then do you look at the straw that is in your brother's eye, but do not observe the rafter that is in your own eye... Hypocrite! First extract the rafter that is in your own eye, then you will see clearly to extract the straw that is in the eye of your brother." Lu. 6: 41-42 posted 04/01/2008 at 22:00:46

Scote,

What's your investment? Are you a pharm rep, or a pharm scientist, or a defense lawyer for the pharm, or a propagandist/disinformationist? You have gone to some effort to shamanize the accumulated anecdotes that surround a preservative connection. You harp on the necessity of clean, hard science... but you should know... clean, hard science always starts as "anecdotal hypothesis"... followed by an unbiased investigation.

I believe that any "so-called" educated person that decided the cost effectiveness of mercury injections has some 'hell-to-pay'.

It smacks of Malthusian Economics......... it smacks of the following........

"...WE SHOULD FACILITATE...THE OPERATIONS OF NATURE IN PRODUCING THIS [WIDESPREAD] MORTALITY...INSTEAD OF RECOMMENDING CLEANLINESS TO THE POOR [AND THUS PROMOTING LIFE], WE SHOULD ENCOURAGE CONTRARY HABITS. IN OUR TOWNS WE SHOULD MAKE THE STREETS NARROWER, CROWD MORE PEOPLE INTO THE HOUSES, AND COURT THE RETURN OF THE PLAGUE. IN THE COUNTRY, WE SHOULD BUILD OUR VILLAGES NEAR STAGNANT POOLS, AND PARTICULARLY ENCOURAGE SETTLEMENTS IN ALL MARSHY AND UNWHOLESOME SITUATIONS. BUT ABOVE ALL, WE SHOULD [DISAPPROVE OF] SPECIFIC REMEDIES FOR [CURING] DISEASES; AND [DISAPPROVE OF] THOSE BENEVOLENT, BUT MUCH MISTAKEN MEN, WHO HAVE THOUGHT THEY WERE DOING A SERVICE TO MANKIND BY PROJECTING SCHEMES FOR THE TOTAL EXTIRPATION [ELIMINATION] OF PARTICULAR DISORDERS [DISEASES]."
Thomas Malthus, 1798, "An Essay on the Principle of Population as it Affects the Future Improvement of Society"
