Hear, hear Grailknight!
People who blindly walk through life thinking there's a guy in the sky who reads their thoughts and who they will get to hang out with after they die just crack me up. I mean, seriously! Have these people ever actually read the Bible? I say read the God Delusion, then really read the bible. We might get back to some semblance of real humanity if people stop believing in these ridiculous superstitions! posted 04/29/2008 at 21:41:24

Dear mourningdude;

you're kidding, right???? They did not rescue those children from their surroundings because their mothers wear strange clothing, have weird haidos or talk like they are drugged zimbies. They took those children away because they are the unfortunate victims of pedophiles and men who think that "preparing their 8 year old daughters to become wives by having sex with them" is the correct way of life for them. Young children both male and female are being sexually molested in these compounds.

"A week ago I told my audience in Rome that in the last several years, I've been ashamed to be an American. A cheer went up from the amphitheater. It was such a relief, audience members later told me, to hear an American speak the truth for a change."

Yes it is. You are just stating what some of us are thinking. I will wait to see what the next administration does before I say it out loud though. If the dems come in and don't right all these wrongs, I too will echo those words........out loud. posted 04/27/2008 at 16:18:53

Maureen, I'm with you, except Alec has now lost all credibility with me. NO POTUS will be able to end this war right off the bat. The Democrat we elect will be under high pressure and scrutiny to end this war now as they promised in their campaigns!

I am disappointed though that he is endorsing either deomocratic candidate. If Hillary wins, all those Obama lovers will vote for McCain just because he didn't endorse Hillary.

There isn't a single one of us without a sin to our names. We all carry baggage, have done things we are not proud of, have lied or cheated. We are not perfect human beings. We are losing the point of the elections which is to get a democrat into the office to avoid the next supreme court justices being republicans who will undoubtedly start whittling away at our rights. Keep your eyes on the prize and get a democrat in to the POTUS job, who ever it is. Stop this silly, mindless squabbling. I say let the person with the most experience and knowledge do the job. It's going to take someone like that to dig us out of the horrendous mess the repugs have gotten this once great country in. "The View" Heats Up Over Racism, Whoopi Declares, "This Is A Racist Country

There are many other articles right here on HuffPOst to quote from. I am amazed that you presume to interpret my thoughts as "if you're not with me, you're against me". No where did I intimate that thought. I have many other reasons to want Hillary. (read below). I also have many reasons to feel and to glean from readings from the past year that Obama will not be able to beat McCain because of the racism in this country. There are many other countries that have female heads of state and I think this would also be a good point for Hillary's campaign against McBush. Oh, and P.S., Jane took Hillary's comments OUT OF CONTEXT from what her entire remarks were. And no, I don't want just any women, but she would do a good job. A much better one than BushCo did or McCain and the repugs could ever do.
Why don't we just give her the chance to prove us either right or wrong??? We know that McCain will take us down the road to further wars and Obama tells us what we want to hear.
Hillary has already established a record. (and yes, she voted for the war, like the others did, with only the lies they were all fed!) I stand firm in my convictions that she is the best candidate for the job! posted 04/12/2008 at 23:53:44

I don't know what polls you are looking at but it's neck and neck out there. I read everything including those polls and know that the red neocons of this country would rather vote for a warmongering senile old bush buddy than a black man, hence my comment that Hillary can beat McCain before Obama can. I'm more concerned about the seating of the next supreme court justices than anything else. Bill Clinton came in and cleaned up the mess left from Reagan and Bush Sr, I think they can come in and clean up this nation again. I think that racism trumps sexism in this country still. posted 04/12/2008 at 21:20:11

Jane;
you have taken so many things out of context that I don't know where to begin.
You must think about the big picture here. Obama cannot beat McCain and Hillary can. Think of the next supreme court appointees if nothing else. You took her comment about communities out of the context of the whole conversation. I used to think you were a credible writer and am now having second thoughts. I have been so excited about actually being able to see the first woman president in my lifetime, that I don't care what she said. I just want a woman in there, if nothing else than to show the rest of the world (who bytheway have many female leaders), that we can rise above our misogynistic male dominated existence. posted 04/12/2008 at 15:28:38

I beg to differ with you. I think this uncovering of Obama's tactics is crucial to showing him as a liar. He has repeatedly run his campaign on the "little man makes big" campaign of struggle and hard work, and yet when his devotees follow his example this is how they are rewarded. Shame on Obama and shame on you for thinking this isn't important stuff. It's all about CHARACTER!!!
Obama is finally starting to show his real one. We haven't known too much about him past his "promises of change". Now we are starting to see the real man.

It's time to vote a woman in to the office of the President of the United States. posted 04/10/2008 at 13:57:24

Besides the fact that he is a warmonger who thinks nothing about keeping more of our troops in the middle east to die horrible deaths or come home maimed and forgotten, think about the Supreme Court. He could place more repubs on the S.C. and then where would we all be????
He's also way too old! We don't know who he will have as a running mate, but chances are they will be taking office once he passes away or is asked to step down due to senile dementia and we won't know a thing about them! posted 03/31/2008 at 21:26:01
