Obama's Struggle With Typical Liberal Hypocrisy

Apparently the conservative standard for liberals is to be 100% perfect 100% of the time. Liberalism is an ideal to work toward a better society with equality and justice. Not all liberals can live up to those ideals. Its not hypocrisy, its called being human.

The double standards that exist toward bisexuality has nothing to do with liberalism as a philosophy. It has to do with fear or general misunderstanding of bisexuality. The same holds true toward homosexuality.

Its so odd to read a bisexual equating bi-phobia with liberalism. Camilla Paglia is that you? posted 05/17/2008 at 04:56:22
Liberal hypocrisy? Liberal plantation? Is this the Huffington Post or the Free Republic I'm reading?

Adopting Right wing language and generalizations to explain what is going on with the Democratic base, is poor political analysis to say the least.

The Democratic base is fulled with many different kinds of people and coalitions. Democrats as a whole are not all liberal or free of racial bias. posted 05/17/2008 at 04:52:01

GOP House Leaders Disrespect American Flag

Please don't confuse authoritarian followers with most Americans. Authoritarian followers are the very few conservatives who still trust and believe the Neo-Cons in the Republican leadership.

No matter how much evidence you provide that their leadership is dead wrong about an issue they will not believe you. They ignore the facts that contradict their undying loyalty to the authority figures they admire. The authority figures they blindly follow feed their sick and twisted need to punish and hurt others. posted 05/17/2008 at 07:10:42

Jenna Bush Wedding Pictures

Its hard to to wish a family well on their daughters wedding day, when you know full well they have contributed to pain and suffering in America and around the globe. How many families in Iraq, Afghanistan and America can not wish their daughters well on their wedding day because they have been killed in a war for oil profit? How many American families can not wish their mothers well on Mother's day because they can not afford cost of a gas or a simple card because Bush has screwed with economy.

To read Bush feels blessed after all the crimes he has committed, is just another example, in a long line of examples, of Bush flaunting his criminality in the collective face of the American people and world community.

One family, the Bush family, has profited from so much human misery since War World 2. I hope the younger generation of "Bushes" feels enough shame and embarrassment that they never decide to run for public office. posted 05/12/2008 at 03:59:28

Howard Dean On Fox News Sunday: Your Coverage Is "Shockingly Biased" (VIDEO)

For starters, MSNBC's ratings are up and Faux's rating have been coming downBC scores in the all important 18-35 year old market, which is the most coveted age group to advertisers. However, the so called news networks numbers all pale in comparison to the ratings of Daily Show.

Faux's so called dominance is not based on the legitimacy of their reporting, but rather being the most obvious and unapologetic right wing cable network on the air. With no other competition in the market place, for extreme right wing views, they easily make it to first place. Meanwhile the other right wing cable networks that laughingly get accused of being liberal, MSNBC and CNN have to compete with their sister networks CNBC and Headline News for ratings.

In other words Faux News is number 1 because the other main competitors divide their numbers up, while Faux News only competes with itself.

If one adds up the MSNBC/CNBC numbers and CNN/Headline News numbers they are pretty much even with Faux's total viewership numbers. The other 4 cable news networks combined total, beats Faux in the ratings. posted 05/04/2008 at 18:28:02

The clip clearly shows McCain stating he would stay in Iraq 100 years, that message is not being distorted. That's wishful thinking on your part. There are many more clips of McCain stating he will stay in Iraq until the job is done. Whatever that job is no one really knows.

McCain does not support any withdrawal from Iraq, which means endless war. Sorry if the truth interferes with your made up version of reality.

Should Obama Drop Out of the Race?

There are a lot of assumption in Bill Press's column. The first being that it is simply Obama supporters requesting Hillary to drop out. Many fearful voters and Democratic party leaders who haven't endorsed Obama are asking her to back out of the race. The reason many Americans want Hillary to drop out of the race is that she is doing the Republican's job of smearing Obama. Had the Clinton campaign not adapted Rovian tactics to bloody Obama I doubt many people would be asking her to resign from the race. As a result, instead of focusing on McCain both candidates have had to turn their attention to each other. McCain is getting a free ride in the press. In addition to attacking Obama, the Hillary campaign is steering anger and resentment of voters in Michigan and Florida against the DNC and Obama. That does not bold well for the Democratic nominee come the General Election. Bill Press has also ignored the fact that Hillary Clinton can only win the nomination by getting the superdelegates to vote in her favor come the Convention, ignoring the will of the voters. That scenario will again create anger, and resentment from voters come the General Election. Hillary should have the Democratic Party and country's best interest at heart. The least she could by staying in the race is to reframe from attacking Obama and focus her attentin on McCain. posted 03/30/2008 at 10:22:24

As always the conservative philosophy can be summed up by, "do as a I say, and not as I do." posted 03/28/2008 at 09:31:21

Report: Eliot Spitzer Linked To Second Prostitution Ring, Wicked Models

Oh my god. Who still cares about this man? He's out of office. The corporate media sure loves to get out a lot of milieage from Democratic scandals, while they ignore the Republican created mess we are now living with. posted 03/27/2008 at 07:54:42

Players, Not Cheerleaders

Its magical thinking to dismiss away years of polls that have shown the majority of Americans wanting out of Iraq. There is also serious denial or forgetfulness of recent events that would led one to conclude the Bush Administration would listen to the American people. The American people gave the Democrats a majority in both houses of Congress in the November 06 to get the US out of Iraq. A timeline for Iraq withdrawl has been stalled by Republican obstructionism in the Senate and Presidential veto time and time again. Secondly, Lieberman's victory has nothing to do with how the majority of Americans feel about Iraq. The reason Lieberman won in Connecticut was due to Republicans crossing over to vote for him. Lastly the reason that George Bush Sr. refused to go into Iraq in Gulf War 1 has been proven correct by the failure of his sons war in Gulf War 2. You don't invade and occupy a nation as complex as Iraq, particularly when the people of that nation don't want you there. That is the reality on the ground. I don't understand after 5 failed years of this war and occupation how any American can continue to make excuses for the Bush Administration. posted 03/27/2008 at 07:51:31

My Dual Citizenship: Why Did the Media Get It So Wrong?

Thank you Martina for setting the record straight and pointing out how flawed the US Media has become.

You're a great American, because you speak out against injustices in your personal life and in American society.

I recall your interview on HBO sports equating the Bush Administration's illegal spy programs with the spying done under Czechoslovakia's communist regime. I wish more Americans could hear and learn from others who grew up in authoritarian regimes like yourself.

If there was any reason the press targeted you for this ridiculous story its because they need to smear anyone who speaks truth to power. It was a back-handed way of questioning your patroitism and loyalty to the US. Keep speaking truth to power. posted 03/26/2008 at 06:03:30

NYT: Clinton Needs Obama To Collapse Like Subprime Market To Win

Even if FL and MI were counted Hillary still wouldn't have the majority of delegate votes to win. The selection of the nominee is based on delegate counts and not popular vote. Its easy for Hillary to win in MI when she was the only one on the ballot. What ever happened to fairness and common sense? posted 03/26/2008 at 06:35:06

Obama Girl Is Back, And She's Ready For That 3 A.M. Phone Call

FL and MI re-votes have nothing to do with Obama. Its up to the DNC and the states to figure it out and pay for it. Its up to those players to come up with an affordable solution. Take Obama Girls advice and "stop the attacks Obama." posted 03/25/2008 at 03:12:45

Bill O'Reilly Needs to Enroll in "Understanding the Internet 101"

Bill O'Reilly is a hater. He spews hate daily on his radio and TV program. O'Rielly calling the Huff Po a hate site is not only hypocritical, but laughable. The man has turned into a media clown. Wake me when O'Reilly's War on Christman begins, that's pure comedy gold.

Keep doing a great job Arianna. If O'Reilly is targeting you with this buffonish behavior its because your winning. posted 03/26/2008 at 06:22:41
