I am a retired judge who now acts as a mediator and arbitrator. I'm in my 60's. I live in Texas. I am an Independent who fires verbal shots at both the Democrats and Republicans when they deserve them; and they seem to deserve them very often. I try to be fair and not personal. My philosophy is simple: we are all in this life together and have to work together to solve the problems facing us. Always tell the truth no matter how much it hurts, and require that our political leaders do likewise; and call their hand on it when they lie. We must be involved in what is happening in our world; to do otherwise, is to take a pass on life. The Chinese proverb says, "May you live in interesting times." We do; and we must take part in these interesting, and frequently troubling, times.
