An examiner of America's dissemination of events and critique's by the media and how it reflects and or shapes the perceptions of the greater society.
The advent of media conglomeration by the few lends a danger to society that will eclipse the era of yellow journalism. Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 is closer than many Americans think considering the admitted actions of our government under the Patriot Act, the NSL letters, state fusion cells, and our government's influence over the media that is also subject to the Patriot Act and NLS letters. Americans inflamed by fear mongering has allowed itself to be unofficially under detention.
I don't follow the stampeding herd. I look to who started the stampede and why in light of how our nation could be so transformed by fear in so little time with irrationally exuberant conjectures as a super power after the end of the 50 years of the Cold War with then the U.S.S.R. I am left with true concern that such stampeding and dissembling of truths will unravel the very unity of our republic, the citizenry protections and freedoms proclaimed in the Bill of Rights and Constitution ensuring a separation of church and state with three independent branches of government bearing the requisite checks and balances.
