Chinese Government Accuses Monks Of Planning Suicide Attacks

Well, you don't have to go to China. Go anywhere. Europe, South America, Africa,
See the world, and then compare with what you have heard at home.

We all did that, what are you afraid of? The truth? posted 04/01/2008 at 19:05:46
Hi YankeeCanuck,

Thank you for agree with me that the photo is misleading, and that kind of pictures are all over the media here.

I don't think what the Chinese embassy employees did(photographed protesters and let them know that their relatives in China would be paying for the protests) was right.

I know for sure that would happen 30 years ago, can"t believe that they are still so stupid! Do you have any reliable evidences like pictures or names?

As I know, the protest in Lhasa is not that peaceful.

Have you heard there was also a peaceful rally by Chinese Canadian citizens last Saturday in Toronto?

Please read both the report on

Thank you MagisterLudi!

You really answered my question.

Do you think how many average western people here will get the wrong impression by just look at the pictures? posted 04/01/2008 at 16:48:26
I am not try to change the subject.

I don't know anything about the suicide attacks, and haven't done any research on it. That's why I don't think I have the right to talking about it.

I just want to point out something I know for sure: the media here keep using NEPALESE policemen"s pictures to accuse CHINESE beat up TIBETAN monks.

It is just not right to use lie against lie! posted 04/01/2008 at 16:32:00
Thank you!

But I do want a real answer! posted 04/01/2008 at 16:22:03
No, I am not dare to compare my English with his holiness'.

He learned his English from Heinrich Harrer, http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/01/07/entertainment/main1185582.shtml

And my English teacher was just an ordinary American. posted 04/01/2008 at 16:19:50

By way, I agree with you about China has 5000-year-history has a little to do with Tibet issue posted 04/03/2008 at 15:45:51
Hi Rule Of Law,

I love history. Would you please give me a link about where this piece of information from?

Thanks! posted 04/03/2008 at 12:50:02
At lease now you know: "China did NOT invaded Tibet in the 50's. Tibet was part of China even before communist time".

Just imagine how many other truth about Tibet that you didn"t know or don"t want to know.

Personally, I don"t mind Tibet become independent if it is really what most Tibetan people wanted.

What I don"t like is someone use biased media here to mislead some naive people and to fanning the fire between different ethnic groups in other countries.

Please do not argue with me about Chinese media is even worse. I already agree with you on this. Please read

http://www.zonaeuropa.com/20080326_1.htm

Pay attention to the last paragraph: "Do not attempt a comparison of western media with Chinese media, because Chinese citizens know a lot more about their media than westerners and they have their own workarounds. Some of them may even have the illusion that western media are always truthful. It won't do to tell them: "Since the Chinese media are rotten, we are surely entitled to suck (but not as much)!" No, that would only serve to inflame feelings." posted 04/03/2008 at 03:25:07
Here is a piece of propaganda from the US government. Please pay attention when 3:45 come up.

Tibet, Beijing and Olympic Sponsors: To Boycott or Not

Actually, I welcome people correcting my English. I know my English is far from excellent. What I don"t like is if my teacher keep telling other students that I have an Indian accent (not like I have anything against Indian people), and after hearing 100 times, most people believe I do have an Indian accent.

Same, I am upset because the media here keeps telling people that Chinese government crack down peaceful protest by using NEPALESE policemen"s pictures. And after hearing 100 times, most people do believe it. posted 04/01/2008 at 13:51:18

Talking about the Chinese engineers who prefer it here to going home, I think it has more to do with economic reason than political reason. Otherwise how do you explain that there are even more Indian engineers want to stay here?

I apologize for my English here, since it is my second language. But so it is for HH Daila Lama. posted 03/31/2008 at 23:04:31
