My moniker - avatar is based on several things. First, on a "knock, knock" joke--and, no, I don't know how to yodel. Second, I think the cranky and snarky, old lady "Maxine" character is an absolute hoot--just like my Granny was.
Studied Humanities in college, and "worked" my way into a position as an Assistant Property Manager in a major commercial real estate company--go figure!
Married with two stepsons of which we received full custody at ages 10 and 15 (labor was easier, at that time) plus one son between my husband and myself. So, I have THREE sons! Love, understanding and determination doesn't have boundaries or labels.
Christian by faith; not by religion or current doctrine.
I believe in the "Human Condition" defined by three paradoxes (as defined on Wiki, verbatim):
- Our imaginations can take us anywhere dragging our physical bodies along.
- We are capable of the kindest, most noble things, but we are also capable of the most and terrifying things.
- Humans hope for everlasting life, but we are always inventing new ways to destroy each other.
