Obama Visits Afghanistan To Tour War Zone

I guess we've already forgotten how successful the Russian campaign in Afghanistan was. What I'm wondering is, which Russian maverick politician is going to send the Afghans some new piece of tech to blow our helos or tanks up, ala Charlie Wilson.
Knowledgeable people have already said that there are not enough troops in all of the US military to do any good there. I'm sure that it will be seen as a just war until 5000 or so body bags make there way back home.
A just war would be in Saudi Arabia, but I guess you can't say that if you want any oil from them, plus they have all our weapons to fight us with.
Scratch that, there are no just wars. This one was just a ploy to get W a second term. True retribution for 9/11 would have been done very quietly and much more effectively, posted 07/19/2008 at 11:39:42

Have you seen the cars proposed by the manufacturers for 2010 and beyond? Sure there are some efficient or electric models but many large and inefficient cars are coming down the pipe too. Get over it. The military has been in full party mode since the 9/11. Any amount of money is available for them. You wouldn't want the contractors to be the only profiteers would you? Oversight is a thing of the past. Let that Chinese money flow and party on.
How many first class trips would one of those things pay for?

Wouldn't that "enemy" have military planners that plan to counter this contingency? Mightn't they plan something terrible for their "enemies?"
