McCain Has Zero Plan to Get Us Out of Mess President Bush Has Created

No! Do not start any proceedings now. It's too late to do that and Bush has the ability to protect and "pardon" while he is in office. Get a Dem elected Pres., put Edwards as AG and then get out of his way. The Democrats should be easily in the majority in the House and Senate. Let Edwards begin in January 09 to bring justice to the group that has done so much harm to this country. Let him take his time and put as many as possible in Federal Housing. posted 05/15/2008 at 18:04:20
So, "no difference"? Except for voting for the war, you mean?

You see, that's the problem. When you don't like the circumstances you've put yourself in, you lie about them. McCain and the Repubs are going to be needing a lot of lying in this campaign. Their problem is that they've lied for so long, the word is out on them.

We were to "be greeted as liberators". When did that happen?

The Iraqi oil was going to pay for our war effort? Is that why we are in such desperate financial straits?

"Mission Accomplished"; when? Their lies are so blatant that it would be funny if more than 4,000 of our men and women had not died, untold thousands injured, and this country's financial stability had not been damaged so badly.

And now its; Iraq at peace by 2013? Sorry. I'm not buying.

Do you have any idea how long the groups over there have been fighting? It would be easier to undo all of the environmental damage in the world by tomorrow morning, than to have those parties come to terms.

I do like your reference to scripture however. "By their fruits" we do know them. McCain is a warmonger. Yes, he was a P.O.W. but sadly he never learned anything other than war.

We've had enough. No more stupid wars for fabricated causes. No more lies. No more Bush. Certainly not McCain. posted 05/15/2008 at 17:56:08

John Edwards: Open To Vice President, Interested In Attorney General

Put Edwards in as AG and then get out of his way. Bush and his cronies are probably sweating big time at the possibility of prosecution. Since any case pursued by Edwards would be after GWB leaves office I would think GWB is powerless to issue a blanket immunity.

"International war crimes for 100, Alex." (yes, I know Bush can't grant immunity that has standing before the war crimes tribunal.)

I hope someone with legal and constitutional insight will comment on whether Bush can give preemptive immunity for cases not yet before the Justice Department.

Another plus about an Edwards appointment is that it would not create a vacuum for the Repubs to try and fill politically. posted 05/15/2008 at 14:42:38

Bush Compares Obama To Nazi Appeasers

Bush's comments were beneath the dignity of the "office of President". Sadly, he has no dignity.

Who cares what Bush thinks? The majority of the country is against him. The majority of the world, friends and foes, are against him. His opinion would not even be newsworthy if there wasn't a presidential campaign in progress. The best thing about his statement is that it will help define more clearly who McCain is, what he stands for, and how badly he would destroy this country if he were to be elected. Bush is an individual without the intellectual or moral capacity to be President. History will tatoo him with a description that will probably be "for mature audiences only". posted 05/15/2008 at 14:51:57

John Edwards Endorses Obama... GOP Prospects "Worst Since Watergate"

I think Edwards has not known what to do. Carville said years ago that Edwards was the best politician he had seen, hands down. Including Bill Clinton. Whether you do or don't like Bill Clinton, I think even his foes consider BC to be particularly adept at politics. Edwards knows he is talented but he also knows that any chance he ever had is probably behind him. What does he do? It will be interesting to see. posted 05/14/2008 at 16:24:42

Top 10 Reasons Obama Defeated Clinton for the Democratic Nomination

Bill Clinton offered us a "bridge to the 21st century."

Another "The Hillary I Know"

I know you believe you know HRC. If you do know her and still support her behavior in this campaign you are less than I hope you are.
Her endorsement of John McCain as "ready for the job" while attempting to knee-cap Obama was despicable. Her vague and oblique answers as to whether she thought Obama is a Muslim were disgraceful. Her continued divisiveness is disgusting.
Just today from the NY Times: "It "found how Senator Obama"s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me.""
I am white but I find it sickening beyond words that she is attempting to "divide and conquer" by race.
This campaign has been unwinnable for her for a long time. The delegate math determines the winner not one of her ever-changing "metrics". The only standard by which she could win is if they consider only the states she won.
I believe without any doubt that this country is ready to accept a woman as President. HRC is a poor example of a woman, poor representative of the Democrat party, and capable of doing as damage to the US reputation abroad and the situation at home as George W. Bush.
Will Obama beat McCain? That is up to the voters in the general election. But if Clinton can't beat Obama, she has no business running against McCain. posted 05/08/2008 at 18:49:12

Why Couldn't Hillary Close the Deal?

She couldn't "close the deal" tonight for the same reason that she's behind in states won, total delegates won, total votes cast. She's the weaker candidate. Even after some of the worst weeks of Obama's campaign she barely won Indiana. People believe she's dishonest. Her unfavorable rating is, was, and certainly will be, too high to beat McCain. The Repub's know that. That's why Limbaugh has been so desperate to inflate her vote totals. Someday she may realize it's over but I'm not holding my breath. posted 05/07/2008 at 01:28:33

Turning Point for Obama, Limbaugh Winning Indiana for Hillary

If they want the campaign to end, the superdelegates will need to endorse Obama and get him over the finish line. I'm not certain HRC will quit even then, but she certainly will not quit on her own. I don't think she really wants a Democrat as president if she's not the Democrat. Her ego is as big as the sun. Nothing will stop the sun from rising tomorrow and I'm not sure if anything can stop her from trying to "obliterate" Obama as she said she is willing to do to Iran. posted 05/07/2008 at 02:06:19

At Speech, Clinton Reminded That She Was From Scranton Two Weeks Ago

HRC is from wherever she needs to be, believes whatever she needs to believe, and says whatever she needs to say. A political chameleon: a convenient liar. I wonder how she will blend in as a "loser". posted 05/07/2008 at 00:59:00

Obama: North Carolina Win A Victory Against "Politics Of Division"

Re: "Just after Obama's speech CNN played a DNC commercial that took Senator McCain from months ago and made it appear that his statements about the economy were recent." This economy has been in the tank for so long that unless "my friends" McCain made his comments before George W. Bush was elected the first time, they are still relevant. So what is your point? posted 05/07/2008 at 01:12:45

Hillary Clinton Loan Suspected, Campaign "Close To Broke"

It has been over for HRC for a long time. Delegates, the metric she lost a long time ago, is, was, and will be the deciding factor. Now it is clear that every "new math" equation she floats is a lost cause as well. As an observer, my only question has been whether she would do her best to sink the party with her. She may be seeing the light, but anyone who would bet their life on that is probably suicidal. How hard will she push for contributions? If she pushes hard for donations, she just wants her money back. Any smart supporter of hers should probably ask for their money back as well. posted 05/07/2008 at 00:53:19

Yes He Will. Because Yes, We Can.

When all of the dust has settled and Obama has collected enough delegates to win, Clinton will not bow out. Get ready, she will campaign to and beyond the Democratic Convention. It's not that she's a bad loser: she just doesn't get it. It's been over legitimately for weeks. She doesn't know and doesn't care. She like a baseball team that is so far behind on "runs" that she begins to argue that the number of "hits", not "runs" determine the victor. Now she is trying to catch up on "hits". I figure by the end of the 2nd year of Obama's 1st term, should he beat McCain, she may get the hint that it is all over. Maybe at that point, she will be able to strong arm Paula Abdul out of her job on American Idol. posted 05/02/2008 at 15:13:37

On My Switch From Clinton to Obama

No, Andrew didn't "call her". He didn't have to. He knew the response. "Judas": sorry that name was already taken. Maybe "Benedict Arnold". Now to the issue.

John McCain is a 3 legged horse in the Kentucky Derby. Either Democrat should slaughter a 3 legged horse. But two horses kicking each other before the race may insure that a 3 legged horse wins. The kicking needs to stop. HRC can't win enough elected delegates to overtake Obama.

The "superdelegates" are not going to overturn the will of the people. "It's over. Let's make certain we have a strong race horse running in the Derby." That's all Andrew is saying. He was not saying HRC is not good enough to win. She just too far behind Obama. posted 05/02/2008 at 16:20:29

Obama Spends $1.5 Million a Day

John "stand on integrity" McCain: as in the photo op showing us how safe Iraq was when he visited? He doesn't even know who we are fighting over there. Yes, he is a warrior. He should become a mercenary or train for the UFC if he wants to fight. This country is tired of stupid wars that kill our men and women and wreck our economy for some still unknown reason. We don't even have allies that are willing to fight with us anymore. The war is detrimental to the US and he is determined to continue it. He is not fighting a headwind. He is fighting common sense and what is good for this country. posted 03/21/2008 at 12:33:39
