Slave mentality has more to do with Blacks separating who belongs in the field and who gets to be in the big house. I just bought that book (haven't cracked it open yet). I told my young daughters that they are lucky to go to school and I think they thought I was nuts till they say the Oprah special about girls in South Africa who wanted to go to school but couldn't. It opened their eyes (and mine) and they believe me now. Children in America are luckier then they know. Thousands of people died (throughout the history of America) so that EVERYONE could go to school. If you told kids today that they WERE NOT ALLOWED to go to school they would RIOT!! Since school is free and required a lot of them don't care or take it for granted. It's a shame because there are so many children in this country and others who would do anything for an education while the rest squander it. The worst part is the reason some of these children don't care is because the conditions of their school are substandard. I'm not taking sides I'm telling it like it is. IF Obama is the Dem nominee, Hillary supporters will have to make a decision. Do you actually believe in the principles of the Dem party and will vote for the Dem nominee? Or did you just want to have a woman as the nominee and because you didn't get what you wanted you'll go away mad and vote for McCain? If your choice is to vote for McCain then don't get upset when you/ your son/ your daughter/ your neighbor/ etc get their draft card in the mail to fight his 100 year war! While I was glad that George and Charlie MADE the candidates answer the questions instead of giving the round-about-prepackaged-stump-speech answer, I feel they wasted their energy on useless questions. If you're going to hold candidates feet to the fire, make it in actual ISSUES that we care about and that are important (i.e. gas just went up another 10 cents today in 24hours). Unfortunately, I won't be able to afford the increase because by writing this I just gave you my last two cents!
