Bio
Michael O'Faolain was born and raised in California. Poltical and government issues were in his blood. At the age of 18, he was a delegate at the California Democratic Council Convention in 1964. Before retirement in 2002, he spent over 30 years in state and local government, mostly in local government management.
He also enjoyed a side career in professional journalism as a young newspaper reporter in Oregon. For a number of years he wrote a column entitled "Heretical Heritage" for the Great Western Pacific Coastal Post when it was a Bolinas, California weekly paper as well as reporting on local government.
