A Just Democracy

In their love fest for Obama the media rarely reports that "the People" only represent about a third of his fundraising. He has as many " special interests" supporting him as any other politician. I have been shocked that the Nation has supported him. They have really come down in my esteem as a progressive voice. Obama is not progressive.Poor jacqmac thinks that he is unique and doing a great thing, he should check the facts and not be filled wit the self importance that the Obama campaign feeds it's volunteers. posted 07/05/2008 at 15:13:55

Memo to Obama: Moving to the Middle is for Losers

paixa3 and rkrenke....you two are hilarious! Yes, go on blame it on the Clintons. Too funny! Of course to follow your logic one would have to believe that Obama is weak and easy to influence. That combined with a lack of experience should just about give us the Democratic version of Bush. Great going guys.Really. You had a chance to nominate a true progressive but you passed her up. Now how does it feel to no longer be necessary to Obama's plan? He did that with women a long time ago, did it with working class, seniors and to some extent hispanics. Didn't you have some clue when the Washington establishment came out behind him? Did you think it was all your doing? Ha! Who do you think they were the most afraid of, who might really change things in their cozy little nests? It sure wasn't Senator Hopey. They knew he would be easy to domesticate. posted 06/30/2008 at 18:19:24

Making Michelle Who She Isn't -- Risky Obama Campaign Move

I am a HRC supporter and always will be. I thought it was wrong when Hillary was bashed for her gender and her strength and I think it is wrong when it is done to Michelle Obama. I don't think it is possible to change her anyway. She seems like her own women to me. Good for her. I hope she stands her ground. It won't make me vote for her husband but it will grow my respect for her. posted 06/18/2008 at 13:41:47

Obama Hires Solis Doyle: A Bad Omen For VP Hillary

I've got news for all of you silly Hillary bashers. Hillary's supporters don't want her to be Obama's VP. She will always be a force in the Party whether you like it or not. 18 million Democratic votes will always be a wind at her back. She now represents a wing of the party that the party needs and will not win without. She will be much more effective on her own and not tied to his administration if that should come to be.

We will see where peolpe like Richardson and Doyle are a few years from now and we will see were Hillary ends up. posted 06/18/2008 at 14:03:10

Who cares what Peggy Noonon thinks. She is a Republican drama queen who wrote speeches for Bush one. Remember," Read my lips no new taxes." lost the election for him. Her line...She is no bright bulb.Just well connected. Are you taking your talking points from a Republican? posted 06/10/2008 at 01:32:55
Hillary did NOT race bait. The Obama campaign and the media did that. Hillary stated facts the press willfully misunderstood. Before the New Hampshire primary when they knew thay might be in trouble the Obama campaign prepared a multi point talking sheet describing all of the supposed racial slights and sent them to the press. The press immediately went for it. To me the most unforgivable thing about the way BO ran his campaign is smearing the Clintons and their supporters with the racist label.
I will pose a question to you. Name one thing Obama has delivered to AA's in his career. Real tangible things. It would take me pages to do the same for the Clintons. Let me suggest only one thing. When he put his office in Harlem Bill Clinton brought 500 million dollars in community enterprise funds with him to the area. posted 06/10/2008 at 01:21:15

Obama has stated many times that he is not interested in running the government or 10 point proposals, Don't cha know he is a big picture man. He will depend on advisors to help him with all the petty details. Sounds kinda like Bush to me. posted 06/09/2008 at 20:19:24
Obama is an illegitimate candidate he will always have a* by his name. He won through voter suppression just like all of his other wins. Go back and look at the states that held primaries after the caucacus if you want to see what kind of strength he really has. He invited many people to be Republicans for a day to beat down Hillary, he even had flyers and signs and mailers to that effect. They will vote Republican in the fall.He blocked revoting in MI and FL, he did not even compete in states where Hillary dominated, blowing off those voters, to arrogant to ask for their votes. At the DBC meeting he was awarded votes he did not earn by his insiders who could not wait to get their hands on his data base. He was added in this, by a complicent press who replaced Bush talking points in their daily narrative with Axelrod's, they have told the public since Iowa that Hillary should drop out and it always got worse right before a big win of hers.Don't even get me started on his sexism and race baiting. and demonizing of the working class. No it is you who have backed a fraud without even knowing what he stands for who will suffer the consequences of your actions. posted 06/09/2008 at 20:15:54
Ignorance is NO excuse. It took John McCain 4 months to endorse Bush and when he did he made a joke out of it saying ..I endorse, I endores, I endorse, I endorse. It took St. Bill Bradley 4 months to endorse Al Gore and when he did he was critical of Gore for being negative and admonished him not to be negative against Bush.It is interesting to note that all the Presidental lossers where Obama supporters. No winners. Oh, how silly of me the only two term winner in my lifetime has been Bill Clinton. As for conceding why should she, she won, the nomination was taken from her by thuggery and party hacks.

Obama is illegitiment, there will always be an * by his name. posted 06/09/2008 at 19:47:45
It's a myth that college educated women did not vote for Hillary. Go back over the stats. Yes, he beat her by a few % points but not wide margins.It is a myth that women who supported Hillary are supporting McCain. Yes, some will and they are organizing right now.Their thinking is, Well at least he is honerable, or at least he loves his country. They tend to be moderate or conservative Democrats.( if you love Dean's 50 state strategy get ready for many more blue dogs from the Southin congress) It is a myth to assume that college educated,activist progressive women like myself are winey,bitter old women who are upset because their candidate did not win. Rather think of us as principled women who will support our local Dems and vote for downticket Dems who did not support Obama. We will not vote for Obama because;
A. the candidate is illigitimate in our eyes, B. we are Clinton Democrats who trace from FDR and we believe our Party should include all of the Clinton coalition for the reasons she outlined in her last speech and C. Since our Party and their chosen candidate and his supporters along wiith the DNC made a bad decision allowing sexism to florish as long as it helped their candidate, we will take a stand against it. We too are organizing. posted 06/09/2008 at 19:29:15

Dear Democratic Elite: Back Off

If you are trying to spit out some ugly smear I hope she does screen you out.If you want to make well reasoned comments in support of your guy there is no problem. With few exceptions Taylors's commenters are polite and mild mannered. They are not in love with Obama and they are growing increasingly angry with the state of the party and the disrespect HRC supporters are treated with on this and all the other Obama propaganda sites and righlfully so! posted 03/29/2008 at 15:09:13

Speaking as a person who was on the ground for Hillary in MO.I would say at one time she had a chance in MO. because of her ecnomiic plans but now that the MSM has continued to trash her I don't know what her chances would be if she were the nominee. I can tell you this ...Obama has NO CHANCE in MO! I spent the day of the primaries poll counting for HRC. This required sticking with a certain polling place and checking their turn out every few hours and phoning them into the campaign. I spent the day going in and out of shops in the area and eating breakfast and lunch in local resturants. I cannot count how many people I had to straighten out about Obama and the lies that were being spread by Churches who were supporting Hukabee. That was before Rev. Wright! It might convince the people I was trying to convince that he is not a muslim mancherian candidate but it sure won't make them vote for him. posted 03/29/2008 at 14:42:45

Bill Clinton To Obama Campaign: "Let's Just Saddle Up And Have An Argument"

Bill Clinton is right. Do I need to remind you history challenged individuals that Bill Clinton is the ONLY Democrat since FDR to win reelection? The left wing of the Democratic leadership and their elite supporters are taking our party down.Does anyone remember that Ted Kennedy's primary challenge to Carter weakened him to the point that Reagan won(and that it was Kennedy and his people who caused the ridiculous rules we now work under to be formed by the DNC)? Does anybody remember what has happened to the country under Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2. ? Look people Missouri is gone now thanks to the REV. Is anyone aware that Missouri is a bellweather state and has only been wrong once in the last 13 elections?Does anyone realize that as Missouri goes so goes PA, OH, FL,MI,AK,TN,KY and possibly CA. ? Bill Clinton understands that most Americans are moderate. Given the choice between McCain and a candidate considered far left and elitist backed, now branded as America hating ,no matter how unfair that brand may be ,it is a losing brand, they will vote for McCain who is considered moderate by many people. Obama and his supporters are perfectly fitting the Republican narrative that Democrats don't love America and are not patriotic. In addition women are so pissed that HIilary has been so mistreated by the thuggish behavior of some of his supporters in the media and online that they are vowing to stay home or vote for McCain posted 03/26/2008 at 23:01:00

Clinton Owes Obama An Apology

LuoPrincess,,,we wil see what the American people do but alot of Hillary supporters are completely sick of the thuggish behavior of the press and Obama supporters and your naive willingness to believe whatever the press is dishing out. We will not vote for Obama. My arguement on Wright is based on 59 years of living in a swing state. You guys are probably going down in a blaze of glory just like McGovern, Gore and Kerry did. The difference will be that all the Dems stuck with Gore and Kerry, that will not be the case with Obama posted 03/27/2008 at 08:32:34
Obama and his supporters owe the Democratic Party an apology because we are going to lose this election. The favorite theme of the Republicans is that Democrats don't love America and are not patriots. Well thanks a lot Senator Obama for neglecting to tell us about your Pastor until you racked up a bunch of bogus caucus wins in red states. The Clinton's are not responsible for Rev. Wright, they did not put words into his mouth. Have you noticed that Missouri is gone now? Until the Wright tapes both Democrats were running about a point behind McCain now BOTH are wounded fatally in MIssouri. My state has only been wrong in one of the last 13 elections.Senator Obama's identity crisis has cost us the election. You can all talk about race relations in the US until you are blue in the face . The damage is done. posted 03/26/2008 at 23:19:42

Will Hillary Ever Be One Of The Cool Kids?

Shannon Loraine..while you certainly have a right to you own opinion and I trust you arrived at it with much thought. I would just ask you to concentrate on the media coverage of Hillary and ask yourself ...was that statement or comment or question framed in a objective way or in a prejorative way? Studies have been done on the coverage of Hillary. If you have not checked it out before I suggest Media Matters. They highlight the media bias very well.If we are constantly bombarded by negative images of someone it is pretty easy to pick up the bias. posted 03/24/2008 at 19:52:08
Excuse me PhDiva dearheart but we will all decide individually what offends us and if we are feminist or not. Are you so insecure you need to advertise your academic credentials? Do yo think it gives you an edge with all of us lowly master's level people or intimidates those without the benefit of higher education? I think the previous comment struck a nerve with you.Jonny38103's comments were quite mild and she spoke from her life experiences. You my dear are the bully who will not even tolerate free speech if it disagrees with you.Oh learned one it is you who should search her soul for where you got such ideas about Hillary, could it be that you are the weak sister who allows herself to be influenced by the media meme? How utterly transparent you are! posted 03/24/2008 at 18:04:20
