ABC, FX Top GLAAD Report, Fox Named Least Gay-Friendly Network

News is newly received or noteworthy information. This really IS news. It's about the media and it is under the media tab. Shocker huh? If it isn't news for you then move on.

And, yes, you do come across as sorry. posted 07/16/2008 at 12:50:04
Your ignorance speaks volumes. Please give us one shred, one tiny iota of evidence that being gay is a perverse lifestyle and isn't normal.

Oh gee, you can't. posted 07/16/2008 at 12:41:19

Sports Ratings Soar: Stanley Cup, NBA Finals, US Open All See Major Gains

I can certainly understand playing golf and baseball. That is certainly fun and exciting. I think it is just that MLB games move so slow, little league games are more exciting to me.

I'll agree with you on basketball. I don't know if it is the squeaking of the shoes on the court or that there is no built up anticipation of scoring because a net is made every two seconds of a game! posted 06/19/2008 at 14:36:12
In baseball you need a diamond. In football, a field. In rugby, a pitch. I fail to see how needing ice makes the sport boring. It's tougher to find a ice rink over a baseball diamond, but that is all.

I think I'd rather watch men that are lumpy because they are wearing pads than the lumpy men in baseball that mishandle their groins, spit, throw a pitch, wait twenty minutes, stop someone from stealing a base, spit, mishandle his groin again, call a time out, throw a pitch, wait twenty minutes, spit... posted 06/19/2008 at 14:29:35
It was great being able to watch the Red Wings pummel the Penguins on a regular TV station instead of some crappy third tier cable station that no one has heard of.

We need more hockey on TV, it's an exciting professional sport not littered with overpaid, prima donna, dope using athletes. Not to mention the action of the game keeps you awake unlike professional baseball or golf. posted 06/19/2008 at 10:56:01

Darth Vader. Captain Hook. Lex Luthor.

There is nothing wrong with full frontal nudity. The human body isn't obscene. I find it interesting that someone would list nudity and dismemberment together. posted 06/16/2008 at 12:37:01

AT&T CEO Says Hard To Find Skilled US Workers

When in grad school I worked part time for a company that did recruiting for AT&T. The average starting wage they offered was 9-10 dollars per hour with a rotating shift based on seniority. They also pursued college graduates for these positions, making it very difficult for people with only a high school education to be considered.

And let's face it, call center work is horrible. These people are taught to give customers the run around and get them off the phone as quickly as possible so they can take another call. They are not given the tools necessary to actually fix customer problems, especially unique problems. Many call centers only pay when you are logged into a phone so if you get up to use the washroom you are no longer on the clock. The workers take call after call of customers berating them because they cannot fix the customer's problem because they only have the tools to fix the most common and rudimentary problems. As you can guess, turnover is extremely high in call centers. posted 03/27/2008 at 10:28:42
