Clinton Protest Voters for McCain

Disillusioned Youth, actually.

Who we are winning in droves. It's a statistical trend that those that vote in their first two elections for the same party will be for that party for life.

For the first time in YEARS we are having a clear blue dem majority amongst youth, both female AND male, and Obama has _Skyrocketed_ that.

Capturing that vote is far more healthy for the party than capturing older women, who are already part of our demographic.

While I understand why Clinton supporters are angry, even Clinton will tell you, after it's all said and done, that the best thing to do is get the republicans out of power. For the first time since.. Hoover, Roosevelt?... we have the potential to have a clear democratic majority in house and senate, as well as a Democratic president.

How can one's own ego be more important than that? Had positions been reversed, and Clinton won all metrics that Obama had won, I'd be a very upset voter. It'd be hard for me to vote for Clinton, but I put the country before I put myself, and I put the party before my own ego. posted 05/16/2008 at 11:32:39

NARAL Sticks a Finger in Our Eye

Glad to see that you think a woman is inherently a superior supporter of a woman's reproductive rights than a man.

Do you _honestly_ believe that? If it'd been Barack Obama versus Laura Bush, would you support Laura Bush first, simply because she's a woman?

Anecdotal though this may be, I actually know more WOMEN against abortion than I know men.

--Not to suggest that Hillary isn't an ardent supporter of Choice, but so is Barack Obama. Barack Obama is a _Massive_ supporter of reproductive rights, and has willingly sacrificed himself politically just to preserve those reproductive rights. By your standards-- because he's a man-- he must be even _more_ of a supporter for reproductive rights than Clinton, because in your deluded mindset, a man couldn't possibly understand, or want to support those reproductive rights.

But we both know that's as much of a logical fallacy as its very premise-- that somehow Naral doesn't have every right and reason to support Obama. posted 05/15/2008 at 09:27:31

Should Hillary Drop Out? Absolutely not!

It's not sports, and it's not a game.

It's not so singularly important to elect a woman that it should involve breaking the rules, shattering the party, and smearing your opponent. No matter how you cut it, the Clintons Struck First, again and again and again.

They became Republicans, and it turned many of us off to them forever. They were my heroes, Ms Feldt. They were my _heroes_, when I grew up in their slow crash to the Lewinsky scandal.. And this is how they 'repay' my loyalty? By trying to prove that Obama can't stand up to Republicans by BECOMING what we hated, what we fought against?

Screw that. It's not just about the policies, it's about the struggle. The clintons didn't get that.

And that's not why they lost.

Not because people hate women more than black people (eyes rolling), but because they didn't get.. It's not a game. It's not fun. It's real, with real people, real lives, real hopes, real dreams.. And they squandered it all.

Its over. I don't expect the Clintons to drop out though. If anything, they've illustrated that they care nothing about the Democratic party, and all dropping out would do, beyond helping allow Obama to focus resources aganst McCain, is prove that they care about the Democratic Party.

They don't. So it'll be a long, boring, strenuous month until the Superdelegates finally, overwhelmingly, support Obama. posted 05/09/2008 at 10:14:56

Obama's Dukakis Moment: Bowling Blunders Matter

The really stupid thing about this post, is that Obama is more in touch with "The common man" than most anyone who posts on Huffington Post.

You can't devote your life to helping the poor and destitute without understanding them. Read his books, don't listen to this ridiculous trash. People who are "Smart" are not inherently "Different" than the "Common man."

Tupac was brilliant-- was he not in touch with the 'common man?' Does intelligence imply that you can't understand your fellow human being? Does being intelligent mean you're privileged?

What this article is really saying is that the "Common Man" is stupid, and will be jealous of Barack Obama's intelligence. This shows how deeply out of touch Kuhn truly is. posted 04/09/2008 at 12:54:36

Why Have A Union?

Rising costs of health care?

nah that can't be it, right?

Couldn't possibly have to do with their absolutely craptastic quality of cars, their focus on SUVs, their inability to adapt to the Japanese technology, and their unwillingness to punish executives who failed to change the Ford, GM, and Chrysler business model for the new century.

No, it has to be because of unions. That's the ticket.

Keep believing that-- it'll get them, and you, real far. posted 03/28/2008 at 22:03:19
Union dues, lower quality health care, lower wages?

Unions have a place, no doubt. Strong supporter.

On the other hand, they aren't the best thing in the world. Like any organization they exist to self-perpetuate, and in that regards, they don't have the interests of the worker, but themselves, at their forefront. posted 03/28/2008 at 22:01:48
