Bio
Born in the nation's capitol, in a hospital named for the first U.S. President, NewArtz loves his nationality and expects his country to live up to it's potential in the humility of its youth and from the wisdom of its experience.
Raised in the deep south, as an artist, he shares the shame of the white man's vanity, and appreciates the struggle of those victimized by its false pride.
Living for 15 years in Vermont, nestled in a religious community, he learned the depth of his own hypocrisy and self righteous view of God.
Married to, and later divorced from, a wonderful woman who gave him four exeptional children, he knows love finds a way.
He is now an utter success at failure, and finds the mystery of personhood is the unique quality we all share...we are all of us destined to disappear altogether from what we have found most familiar. Not one of us will survive, but what we leave behind will either nurture or destroy, give or steal, heal or kill.
There is a double edged sword to all our words, but, in the end...even these words will end. What our words have sliced through, however, will go on to either be understood or misunderstood, but what our words have dissected will never remain the same.
