I am an artist and graphic designer who has worked in the media for a couple of decades. Presently, in addition to my artwork, I run http://www.NewsCorpse.com - The Internet's Chronicle of Media Decay.
At News Corpse you will find media analysis and criticism with an emphasis on reform. If our nation/world wants to solve any of its myriad problems, it must solve the problem of the media first. The monopolies must be broken up; there must be a rollback of ownership caps; diversity and independence must be encouraged; and the incestuous relationship between media and government must be curtailed.
Also, the importance of artists to social movements needs to be rediscovered. The shameful dismissal of creative people via myopic slogans like "shut up and sing" must end.
