Cops unload 50 bullets into unarmed people and the court system finds them innocent. I don't care if the witnesses have records as criminals or not. Hillary worries me with her almost pathological need to prove she's strong and decisive. The degree of pathology appears to compete with Dubya's. Where is the sense of nuance, discretion, or measurement in her approach? Why would she feel it's necessary to use the most bellicose language possible to describe our response if Iran attacks Israel? It's Obama's winning campaign strategy......when he says something and his opponents intentionally misinterpret it, he shoves it back down their throats. Instead of doing the traditional song and dance begging forgiveness for a gaffe, he stands his ground. He lets everyone know he ment what he said and that he was right to say it and they were wrong to criticize it.
This is the exact rhetoric he needs to win over rural voters. These are people who vote on Guns, God, and Gays (and abortion). But they've continually voted Republican, and no progress (from their point of view) has been made on those issues. Meanwhile the plant in town closed down, and there are no jobs. So their kid joins the military, and is on his fourth tour of duty in Iraq. If he gets back in one-piece, college won't be covered by the GI bill because of inflation, and the kid is stuck being a greeter at Wal-Mart for the rest of his life. If he's missing limbs, he'll have to fight for basic benefits in his home. If he has mental health issues, he may not get the care he needs and very well could end up homeless.
