Joe Biden Slams Bush For Obama Appeasement Comments

As I recall, Saddam Hussein was begging the UN and any nation to come to Iraq and inspect for WMDs shortly before the egregious "shock and awe" . Common sense and rational thought were superceded by war mongering and greed for profit by starting a phony war when enlightened diplomacy could have avoided the waste of $600,000,000,000 and the loss of over 4,000 of our servicemen and women and countless Iraqi citizens. Bush has no right to demean anyone after his deplorable gross negligence on 9/11 by ignoring the briefings and warnings of an attack that killed 3,000 of our people while at work in their offices and destroyed valuable property that in essence became criminal neglect. This occured on his "watch" and was followed by a conspiracy to cause war on a country that did us no harm. This man must be held accountable for actions or "justice" is just a word without meaning or value. posted 05/16/2008 at 12:06:46

8ball--Bush"s presidency should have been ended on 9/11 when his gross negligence ignoring the briefings and warnings of an attack led to the killing of nearly 3,000 of our people while at work in their offices and became criminal negligence. That didn't ruin his day, Katrina didn't ruin his day, poking fun at non existent WMDS in Iraq didn't ruin his day while tens of thousands were dying for nothing, creating a galactic public debt isn't ruining his day either. Keith's intelligence, eloquence and analytical skills are singularly notewothy as the best that network news or the media at large has to offer the American public in relation to the MSM cheerleading the phony war in Iraq and the failed policies, programs and incompetency of the Bush administration. Seventy percent(70%)of the American people know they have been duped, deceived by the Bush line of lies, deceit and chicanery that led to this endless war bankrupting the country. Bush's account of "giving up golf" is on a plane with his "mock" search of his office for WMDs for the pleasure of the Press Corps duing their annual White House dinner while our servicemen and women were dying along with tens of thousands of Iraqis. They are now trying to minimize 7+ years of Bush administration malfeasance and misfeasance in order to maintain control and power of the government for greed and profit to the detriment and harm of the country and the American people. This can't be true. Young evangelicals have benefitted greatly by the republicans. They can be home schooled or with a voucher plan in a religious setting with little contact with public school students, attend a Bible college like Messiah, then on to Pat Robertson's Law School and then gain employment in a faith-based Bush administration. Why would they want to give up such an advantage in gaining control and power for the creation of a Theocracy. posted 05/11/2008 at 12:33:48

Growing Deficits Threaten Pensions

Bush's "downturn in the economy" is felt thru every facet on our lives. The destruction of the economy with deficits, galactic federal debt mostly incurred on his "watch", heavy borrowing from abroad to finance a phony war for profit driving us to bankruptcy, investments spiraling downward, good paying jobs in mamufacturing lost, energy costs thru the roof, outsourcing. layoffs, unemployment rising, trade imbalances, credit markets drying up, mortages and home ownership in disarray, healt care costs out of sight, etc., etc. The Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System for teachers hasn't offfered a COLA since 2002 and probably won't again this year. Some older teachers who retired and in their seventies and eighties probably have to borrow to pay health insurance premiums because their pension checks do not cover the cost of the premium for drugs and health costs. The health premium is taken out before a check is issued or a direct deposit is made. Medicare is the povider of first response but back up is need where Medicare doesn't cover. It is not the elderly that concerns me, it is the young people of this country and their economic future that is in peril. In just seven years this country has ventured to the brink of disater. posted 05/11/2008 at 12:13:49

Our country is in deep peril economically with the exhorbitant price of energy, endless war robbing our treasury, heavy borrowing from abroad, galactic trade imbalances, falling dollar, loss of manufacturing base, credit market and mortgage industry tanking, outsourcing, layoffs, failing infrastructure, rising food prices, stagnant wages, social security and medicare increases looming, current accounts deficits in the budget and growing. The lies, deceit and chicanery involved in starting this debacle are slowly coming to light even though anyone with a semblance of intelligence and common sense knew it was a "fraud" to begin with. 4 Marines Killed By Roadside Bomb In Iraq

"They're volunteers, So". This is five deferment Dick's response to those needlessly dying in Iraq for the phony war for profit in Iraq. Bush's enablers in and out of congress always minimize the numbers of our servicemen and women killed in Iraq in order to dupe the American people into believing that his idiotic "war" has legitimacy. It is a tragedy of galactic proportions that our soldiers and marines are dying for lies, deceit and chicanery and that death and destruction approaching genocide has been visited upon the citizens of Iraq without any real concern on the part of the media and the public at large. The criminal negligence of the Bush administration prior to and during the attack on 9/11 has been transformed and processed into creating fear and anxiety for the purpose of political and military and economic power for greed and profit. It has become tiresome and annoying that the important issues necessary for our survival as a democracy with a once viable economy take a back seat to the concern with a person's belief in supernatural entities, gifts of prophecy, communicating through prayer to the unknown. Beliefs endorsed by the spiritual cannot be imposed upon the face of secular reality without causing conflict and attacking freedom. I recall during the farm problem during the Reagan adminstration just after he destroyed the Air-traffic controllers and the airlines, He said that "we should keep the grain and export the farmer". We have been exporting all kinds of jobs since then. posted 04/01/2008 at 17:13:24

Matthews Said Bush Showed "Guts" At Baseball Game

It didn't take long for Matthews to "spin" this "defining moment" in the disastrous Bush administration, continuing his insipid role as apologist for Bush. The loud negative reaction of the crowd to Bush as he threw the ball was equally matched by the silence of the MSM ignoring the fact that finally a spontaneous public outrcry against seven years of corruption in the highest office in the land was seen and heard by a good portion of the general public mostly via the internet. I was waiting for Jay Leno to lend his views, but he didn't say anything. Hopefully more of the same will continue around the country as Bush avoids the majority of us to run to his selected, protected venues to talk to his "base" be it his enablers or military. posted 04/01/2008 at 09:22:05

President Bush Booed At Baseball Game

Maybe, just maybe the American people are facing the reality of the disater that this ignoramus has created at home and abroad. We'll wait and see what the Bush media has to say about this insult to their phony president. posted 03/30/2008 at 21:56:08

Iraq Fighting Underscores Power Struggle

In guerilla warfare there are many lulls, truces, quiet periods in order for the "guerillas" to reorganize and rearm against the government backed forces. This is the strategy, tactics and logistics that worked against the British in America, the US in Viet Nam, the French, British, Soviet Union and now the Americans and their agents in the current debacle in the Middle East. AL-Sadr's cease fire announced about six months ago that ended with the current eruption was just as predictable as the the failure of George Bush's presidency. The decision to invade Iraq based on lies, deceit and chicanery for the purpose of greed and profit and without the full knowledge of the history of centuries of factional strife and religious fundamentalism in the Middle East is testament to the fact that this administration and its current disasters at home and abroad are willing to continue the senseless war rather than accept responsibility and blame for a blunder that will live in "infamy" in the records of history. Arrogance and ignorance trump responsibility and common sense. posted 03/30/2008 at 15:55:19

Newsweek: Afghan Farmers Forced To Sell Their Daughters To Pay Loans

People in New Orleans are required by the Bush administration to repay overpayments made as a result of Katrina--how can we pay to destroy the opium business in Afghanistan and treat our own citizens with out regard to pay back government errors. posted 03/30/2008 at 16:31:56

Staff Alleges Abuse By Top Iraq Auditor

The CID, Criminal Investigation Division of the US Army was to begin investigations into fraud, corruption, bribery and theft over a year ago and did make arrests and convictions relating to improper and illegal contracts, bribery and theft of US funds in Iraq. The lack of real accounting of funds used by the military and the Bush representatives in Iraq has been a scandal of egregious proportions. It is difficult to follow the trail of misfeasance and malfeasance because the media has no interest and bears no responsibility in maintaining an on-going review and report on the corruption and misuse of tax money squandered in Iraq. Be thankful we have American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and NASCAR to keep our attention from such mundane matters as pilfering of money needed to fund a phony war. posted 03/30/2008 at 09:37:50

Fierce Iraq Fighting Forces War Back Onto Campaign Trail

We can not leave Iraq because of negative consequences, so we will stay there a 100 years to forestall negative consequences. The negative consequences will be the descent of America into the "Dark Ages" as a third world nation. posted 03/30/2008 at 16:16:11

Bush: Iraq Violence A Necessary Part Of Development

This nation has suffered the arrogance and incompetence of George Bush for the past seven years. It must soon come to the reality that the citizens of this country have placed into the highest office in the land the most incapable, inept individual we could have selected to be president and that he has become such a burden at home and abroad that the remaining months of his administration could deliver conditions from which this nation may never recover. His mental stability will require close scrutiny based on his performance thus far. posted 03/30/2008 at 09:21:32
It's the romance of violence that is a part of Bush's warped mind that keeps him dancing in the face of the turmoil and trouble he has vistied upon the people of Iraq and the majority of us here in the states. posted 03/28/2008 at 15:12:13

Poll: McCain's Age Problem

What happened to my comment? posted 03/26/2008 at 19:40:25
HIs age is no problem. We have had a senile president before and alzheimers never stopped him from him from pretending to be president. All it takes is waking around tenAM- a light breakfast, lunch with "mommie", then a 3 hour nap. Bore the nation with conservative diatribes until 9PM then off to bed. Reagan could be the model for a successful McCain presidency if it were not for a country in recession, maybe depression and a war taking us to the brink of bankruptcy. But McCain has already alerted us that he knows little about economics which may be a blessing after the mess Bush has created. He says his strong suit is" knowing" war. A sigh of relief on that one if we are to be in Iraq for 100yrs, you don't want a president screwing it up. posted 03/26/2008 at 18:13:35

Dethroned Bear Stearns CEO Needs Armed Bodyguard

Well, Bush dances while the country is headed for a land fill and people are dying daily in his business venture in Iraq, another failure on his part. But like all CEOs he will live in luxury on all the money pilfered from the treasury and placed in the hands of his cronies in the military-industrial complex. This nation is being Enroned into bankruptcy by malfeasance and misfeasance in all aspects of our economic "downturn". posted 03/24/2008 at 18:21:04

4000 US Soldiers Killed In Iraq

This phony war built on lies, deceit and chicanery should have never started. Bush should have been impeached for gross negligence for ignoring the briefings on al Qaeda by the Clinton administration, the 52 warnings sent to the airlines on high jacking and the PDB a month before we were atttacked which then became criminal negligence when nearly 3000 of our citizens were killed on American territory and valuable property destroyed. You cannot compare this boondoggle in Iraq with our war for independence against an occupying empire, or maybe you can because in Iraq we are the occupying empire. My three brothers served in combat zones in WW2--Omaha Beach at Normandy and the Battle of the Coral Sea and I was drafted int the US Army. There are wars that have to be fought, but this fiasco has no legitimacy. It gets tiresome to hear neocons minimize the numbers killed and the money squandered in Iraq in order to continue their warmongering for profit. Following the "mock" search of his office for WMDs for the amusement of the Press Corps while our soldiers and marines were dying in his "war", he should have been dragged from that supercilious banquet by his ears and made to apologize to the troops unit by unit unti "mission accomplished". posted 03/24/2008 at 09:40:51

Democrats Demand 'Straight Talk' on Iraq

Straight talk--is this a joke. If lies, deceit and chicanery has worked for the past five years why would the neocon fascists change their rhetoric. And if the "straight talk" should by some magic occur, what would the insipid, cowardly democrats do with it. They demand "straight talk". Here it is. The republicans were in power when we were attacked and the nation witnessed gross negligence become criminal negligence by the Bush administration, Then a phony, never ending war created genocide of Iraqi citizens, killed, wounded and maimed thousands of our soldiers and marines and squandered hundreds of billions of our dollars needed at home, leading to our nation sorely divided . The facts surrounding the mess we are enduring at home and abroad has been self evident for the past five years and the time for talk of any kind is over. Action on the part of the democrats is what is needed but they will never get enough courage to act in the best interests and welfare of the American people because they will always demand "straight talk" rather than confront Bush and his enablers even though the majority of the country want action to end this war. posted 03/22/2008 at 22:05:00

Violence Frays Militia Truce In Iraq

I remember studying history in the grades and the battle of Trenton in which G. Washington defeated the Hessians, hired mercenaries of Great Britain. The teacher and kids regarded the Hessians as the lowest of the low for fighting our patriots for pay. I never thought that history would repeat itself but with this administration of ours in the name of the American people doing the same in Iraq with Blackwater. Now they have gone one up by paying opposing factions not to fight and facing an uneasy "truce". This fiasco in Iraq gets "curiouser and curiouser" by the minute. The invasion preceded by "shock and awe" was terror instigated by Bush and Cheney for fun and profit, but to conduct a "war" without planning, strategy, tactics, logistics and no exit strategy and a full knowledge of the religious fundamentalism in Iraq which will always trump common sense and rational thought is an example of the total malfeasance and misfeasance of the Bush administration. posted 03/22/2008 at 09:03:04

Bush Administration Trying To Stop Fraud Reporting By War Contractors Abroad

The biggest fraud of all is the Bush administration whose scandals and crimes in the name of greed and profit at the expense of the American people will live in infamy in the records of our history. The refusal of the Democrats to attempt impeachment proceedings that would include the charges that would disclose to everyone just how corrupt the Bush/Cheney Crime Syndicate has been for the past seven years. How they have escaped investigation, prosecution and incarceration for the lies, deceit and chicanery to start a phony war, killing wounding and maiming tens of thousands, squandering 100's of billions of dollars--a good portion involved in bribes and thefts, creating a deep division with the country, criminal negligence for not protecting the lives and property of American citizens prior to and during the terrorist attacks on 9/11, clandestine operations on the general public, outing a CIA employee for political reasons and entering into ageements with countries who have harbored and abetted terrorists is beyond belief posted 03/21/2008 at 09:15:02

CNN Trivializes Iraq and Hits a New Low

Michelle Lover fancies himself as the resident clearing house and purveyor of all comments with his personal views and opinions that override all others because he "knows" more than anyone. Bush and Clinton were both draft dodgers in their own way- let's get over it. The big difference is that during the 1990's this nation enjoyed the "Golden Age" in American history similar to the one in ancient Greece under Pericles. The economy was booming, 22 million new jobs were added to the rolls, the size of government reduced, a surplus created, the majority of citizens satisfied with the policies and programs of the government and America was respected around the world. With the Bush administration we have the age of " Incompetency and Corruption"--Attack on the country on 9/11 in which gross negligence became criminal negligence by the dolt, and then ignoring the real perpetrators, propagandizing lies, deceit and chicanery to start a phony war for greed and profit killing wounding and maiming tens of thousands and squandering hundred of billions of dollars and growing in the process, increasing the national debt by over 6 trillion dollars in seven years when it took 232 yrs of our previous history to accrue 3 triilion, divided the nation with his style of leadership, always favoring his "base", the economy is in shambles and the budget in deficit again and we are no longer respected around the world and have lost 3 million mfg jobs under Bush. I could go on but you can add to the list. Now, who wants lemonade? posted 03/21/2008 at 17:21:50
