Dear Al Gore, Forget Your Ex-Boss.

Politics chewed him up and spit him out. While he did run a poor campaign in 2000, it was still discouraging to see him lose to a retard primarily because his boss got a blowjob. posted 05/15/2008 at 22:01:02
I think he should wait until June 4th (after the last primary and caucus). If he does it now, it will just energize Hillary Clinton and her supporters. She'll claim "the boys are ganging up on me again"... But after the last primary, he will have no excuse. posted 05/15/2008 at 21:54:46

I agree. However I was able to find a few clips of what you mentioned and post them on YouTube. One is about Bill Clinton meeting with Rev. Wright and the other contrasts the phony Rezko scandal with Hsu and other Clinton scandals.

Meet Your Democratic Leaders: ChickenSh*t Coward Edition

You are absolutely right in your critique. However, it is questionable whether these people would be recognized as leaders if they assert themselves. This party has been hijacked by the Clintons and the DLC democrats. Remember what happened when Richardson endorsed Obama. James Carvel and Bill Clinton treated him like a traitorous piece of dirt. When Nancy Pelosi suggested that the delegate count should factor into the decision of super delegates she was threatened by Clinton donors. If Al Gore had endorsed Obama, the smear campaign against him by the Clintons would be sickening. The Clintons have absolutely no shame. posted 04/30/2008 at 13:01:13

After the way Obama was treated at the last debate, I don't blame him for not wanting to talk about Rev. Wright anymore. He stood by Rev. Wright after all of this so I think you should cut him a little slack. posted 04/27/2008 at 21:12:14

Barack's Choice: Yes To Fox News, No To Hillary Clinton

I was also impressed with Obama's performance today. I was also pleasantly surprised that this interview was much more civil than last week's ABC debate. I agree. As much as I dislike Faux News, if Obama can stand up to them, it will be one more step in putting the awful ABC debate behind him. The Media Must Report - NOT Debate - Whether Barack or Hillary is Winning

As critical as I am a mainstream media, they are reporting on a Democratic nominating process. Unless Howard Dean is making a concerted effort to set the record straight, the MSM is under no obligation to do so. Nancy Pelosi tried to emphasize the importance of pledged delegates, but she backed off her statement after being threatened by the Clinton camp. This really has more to do with the lack of leadership among the Democrats. posted 04/24/2008 at 19:32:23

On Obliterating Iran

Hillary certainly doesn't speak for all Jews or Israel. This harsh rhetoric only fans the flames of hatred of the United States by Muslims in the Middle East and creates resentment among non-Jewish Americans. I'm a liberal Jewish American who supports Israel, but I believe Hillary Clinton is way out of line. I wholeheartedly believe that Israel should maintain a strong defense, but the U.S. has no place meddling in the affairs of Middle Eastern countries whether it's Israel, Iran, Iraq, or even Kuwait. posted 04/23/2008 at 14:46:44

Doctor Faust in 2008

For all those who are citing U.N. resolutions against Israel, you might not want to give those too much weight given the fact that the U.N. Human Rights Council is made up of countries such as China, Cuba, Russia and Saudi Arabia:

"Only 25 of its 47 members are classified as "free democracies," according to Freedom House's ranking of civil liberties. Nine are classified as "not free." Four -- China, Cuba, Russia and Saudi Arabia -- are ranked as the "worst of the worst." These nations are responsible for repeated violations of the U.N.'s own Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Yet it is they who dominate the council, leading a powerful bloc of predominantly Arab and African nations that consistently vote as a unit."

Actually, as far as recent history goes (Jews have populated Israel for thousands of years) many Jews emigrated from Russia in the late 1800s when Israel was under control of the Ottoman Empire. At that time, many of the areas were dry and inhospitable. It was only after the Jews irrigated and farmed the areas that the region became more desirable. This led to a surge in immigration both by European and Russian Jews, but also Muslim and Jewish Arabs (yes, there have also been Jews living in Arab countries for thousands of years - there are even Jews living in Iran). After 1948, most Arab countries and Iran have forced Jews out of the countries making immigration to Israel a necessity. posted 04/15/2008 at 00:14:56
Sorry to disappoint you, but "Israel-first" Jewish Americans like myself actually want someone who treats that issue evenhandedly. Only then can we have a lasting peace in the region. U.S. politicians who merely state that they are pro Israel, while ignoring its Arab neighbors, do a disservice to the people they are appealing to. That is why I support Barack Obama - because he has a nuanced view and deeper understanding of the region and all the players involved.

I actually trust Obama much more than I do Joe Lieberman on who has both the United States and Israel's best interests in mind. The war in Iraq has not only been devastating for the United States and the Iraqi people, but it has also strengthened Iran which is the biggest supporter of terrorism against Israel.

Chris Matthews Really Plays Hardball, Demands New Guest Name Sources For Obama Claim

The problem with this and the reason that Chris Matthews grilled from this source is because the Clinton campaign for many months has been targeting the Jewish community with these allegations.

Obama's own position, as well as his top advisers, Tony Lake and Susan Rice, have been committed to brokering peace among the Israelis and Palestinians.

Some of Obama's strongest supporters are members of the Jewish community (including myself). I find it utterly disgusting that the Clintons are targeting us. Especially Senator Clinton who watched a speech where Arafat's wife accused the Israelis of gassing the Palestinians daily. After the speech, instead of being outraged, she gave Mrs. Arafat a big hug.

Metanarratives and Hillary's Honesty Gap

I think the writer was referring to the way the media paints a candidate with a particular narrative. Two Years of "The Israel Lobby," Part 1

The Iraq war was about *OIL* and lucrative contracts for Halliburton and other corporations. This hatred of Jews and Israel is nearly as bad as the Right blaming all our problems on homosexuals. posted 03/24/2008 at 19:41:18
If you don't want to offend Jews, maybe you should stop referring to it as the Israel Lobby. Even if you argue that they're not pro Israel, it is implied. Most American and Israeli Jews support the peace process. Jews make up only 2.5% of the U.S. population and to imply that we have some unseen influence over American foreign policy or that we vote in a singular block is ludicrous. At this point you might be saying that we're too sensitive and that your argument is highly nuanced. While you might believe this, I urge you to read the comments written in this post and similar posts and witness that hate filled people who you attract. posted 03/24/2008 at 19:37:31

A Few Unanswered Questions About Bill Richardson's Obama Endorsement

Barack Obama has been much more complicit in following the rules during this campaign. I believe he will be the one most likely to implement much needed reforms regarding the Democratic nominating process.

Personally, I believe that if the super delegates system remains, it should include only ELECTED officials and they should only be allowed to vote if certain conditions exist such as one candidate leads by LESS THAN 50 pledged delegates and the other candidate has a SIZABLE lead in popular vote (perhaps over 500,000) and they have won a comparable amount of states. posted 03/21/2008 at 13:23:09
