I am a information technology consultant and Program Manager in the field of Human Services. I have spent the last 15 years in he field of Child Welfare. I started out in the "War on Poverty" in the 60's and also worked in the fields of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. I love the power of information technology and have been an enthusiastic reader and commenter on Huffington Post although I probably get carried away at times.

I live on a small farm in upstate New York with my wife and two wonderful Springer Spaniels (Earl and Ella). We have two daughters and four grandchildren. Politically I consider myself a "moderate" who is skeptical of extremists from the Right or Left of the political spectrum. I was a registered Independent until last year when I changed my registration to Democrat in order to run as an elected delegate for Barack Obama. I now look forward to attending one of the most historical political conventions in our country's history. I was born and raised in Kansas and my maternal grandfather was born and raised in the same town as Barack's maternal grandfather so I am very comfortable with his Midwestern values.
