23 year old Political Science & English student at the University of Minnesota. Big Obama supporter; I am also pro-Kucinich, Edwards & Biden.
I hope that Democrats understand that this might be the best chance in decades - if not more - to really change the face of politics. Obama is a the candidate to put that change into motion.
While Hillary would make a good President (and I don't doubt that great things would happen during her Presidency), she will not change politics in general and will maintain, for the most part, the status quo. She has more connections with lobbyists than most of her competition on the left combined. She's taken more from the private health industry than anyone in Washington except for the current President. AND her chief strategist is employed by the legal firm that is defending Blackwater!
THAT's not a candidate of change. And by the way, very few elections have historically elected the nominee who is leading at this point in the process. The sense of inevitability is not reality: far from it, my friends. It's a product of the Clinton media-machine, and we shouldn't fall for it! Obama is the GOP's worst nightmare. She's essentially been endorsed by Rove, Bush, Gingrich and the rest of the far right because they know she's their only chance of winning.
So get fired up and ready to go! This is Obama's year!
