Bio
I am an environmentalist, civil libertarian, classic liberal. I believe law enforcement is as important in finance as it is on the streets.
Other than Huffington Post, some of my favorite sites are:

I believe that under a Constitutional President and Congress such as Ron Paul describes, not only would we lose less to taxation, corporations also would not enjoy the Free Speech rights properly reserved only to individuals by the plain, unambiguous text of the Constitution. Without their un-Constitutional acts of bribery under the euphemism "lobbying," the insidious, creeping partnership of corporations and government would stop the massive transfer-of-wealth scheme that has put so much wealth into the possession of such a small number of US citizen who claim to be "free traders," "small government advocates" and "free market guy" but who in reality are primarily tax recipients -- Welfare corporatists.

I initially considered Barack Obama a very good second choice, but having taken part in his campaign here in Portland, I see that he is better for America because he is able to appeal to people on a personal level well enough to get us involved in government. Anyway, sending John McCain instead of Ron Paul to debate him lost the GOP their best people. It's too bad the Republican base is so blinded by hate that they pretend not to see through the myth of Reaganomic/Miltonian zero regulation as a moral ideal. In fact, zero regulation is just anarchy, a despicable abdication of any philosophical or moral position on the nature and responsibility of government to uphold individual rights.

I post some of my comments, and some essays that are too long for Huffington Post, at
http://reedyoung.blogspot.com
and I have a website under construction at
www.reedyoung.org, where I have not migrated my best writing from blogspot and huffingtonpost.com yet, but that is the plan.
