Health Care As the New Terrorist to Fear

It's unbelievable that you were not provided with a cancellation notice. What if your check had simply been lost in the mail or through a clerical error your account was not credited You know what the biggest scam is? It is that National Health Care is considered big, bad "socialixed medicine"! What a crock! Wouldn't every person want the luxury of being able to walk in and get any and all health care they needed for free like every other civilized country? Wouldn't it be a relief knowing that if you got cancer there would be no chance of losing your house and assets? It's just like the MasterCard commercial- "Peace of Mind- PRICELESS!!!
Isn't it sickening the bloated profits raked in by these HMOs while we receive second rate care at exorbinant costs! Meanwhile our military budget is 51%-- so we can trot the globe making war s to keep the military industrial complex fat and rich! IT IS A DISGRACE!!!

McCain and Hillary have similar appeal- they are both hawks for one. If Hillary were the nominee they would be fighting over a similar base. The GOP attack machine would have a field day with HIllary and the GOP base would come out in mass to oppose her.

She is a very, very weak candidate who has long lost her key advantage over the other candidates- name recognition. But the racists will be coming out strong in Kentucky and West Virginia. Congratulations Hillary!

And then they will go on to vote for McCain in the general. posted 05/12/2008 at 09:28:21

Obama Vice President Picks: Who Are The Frontrunners?

I like your lineup.
It could work - except not Hillary for Senate Majority leader. The Clintons attacked their own during this campaign- so too many hard feelings among Democrats. Especially the over the top attack from Carville calling Richardson "Judas" - that was uncalled for. Hillary has lost a lot of respect from her peers which is essential in that position. A better choice for Senate Majority Leader would be Chris Dodd. It was Chris Dodd that led the charge against telecom immunity and he would make it a priority to restore the Constitution. I am a little biased since I am from CT- but he is a good man. (Lieberman of CT that's another story) posted 05/09/2008 at 19:44:39

I like Wesley Clark because the Iraq war is such a nightmare and it would be a tip of the hat to Hillary supporters. We cannot really spare Jim Webb from the Senate.

I like Joe Biden and Bill Richardson for VP. Both woudl be good for Secretary of State.

But we are at a time in our history that we need cooler heads to prevail. If HILLARY won the most states, most popular vote and most delegates- she and her surrogates would be demanding that Obama get out. So "lavister" if you talk a honest look at your own candidate you will see that she- Hillary Rodam Clinton- is the person with the DOUBLE STANDARD!

BTW- I do not appreciate the Clinton campaigns use of race baiting, cheap gimmicks like the gas tax and dirty politics in general. The Clinton are very experienced politicians- they know they cannot win. She only continues to try ot raise more funds from her largely low income supporters to pay off her huge debt from this mismanaged campaign and damage Obama as mujch as possible to set herself up for 2012.

I made a point of donating to Obama directly instead of the DNC so Clinton could not benefit. Besides Obama is going to need every penny to fend off the GOP 527's that will spring up like weeds. It will be the racebaiting olympics. I also agree with other posters that say it will look like she was bought off by Obama. Let's see we had Mark Penn calling Obama a drug dealer, the muslim whisper campaign, constant race baiting, blatant political gimmicks like the gas tax holiday and of course driving the Rev. Do you think that Bill and Hill want to cough up their own money to pay her 10 million in campaign debt. NO WAY! But they have no qualms what so ever about going after the lowest income segment of our society uneducated people and older women for donations - time and time again. It is despicable. The Clintons are like sleazy televangelists fleecing the sheep! posted 04/24/2008 at 09:42:31

Pennsylvania Primary Results: Latest News, Video

I used to like Hillary but " familiarity has bred contempt".

She had a 20 point lead in PA and she did not even eek out 10. But anyway the ABC debate was bad for Obama because of the way it was front loaded with inflamatory questions and Obama looked really tired. Not his best night but no sense dwelling on it. posted 04/23/2008 at 15:33:45

Chris Matthews: The Media Created "Delusion" That Hillary Can Win (VIDEO)

Totally agree moda31

Chris Mathews is right. Although it is so obvious the media refuses to talk about it. The media is driving her electibliity.Let me see- it was of course the media that ran with the WMD story by mainstreaming the White House talking points. Nice job- White House lapdogs! (Do you hear Joe Scarborough blathering on. Why doesn't MSNBC fire him?)

Chris Mathews made a good points when he was interviewing Claire McCaskill:
Obama had a big union endorsement- he should have talked about that more to win more of the working class male vote and he has a good plan for raising the cap on Social Security to keep it funded longer which would have been great for the large elderly population in PA. posted 04/23/2008 at 14:50:50

Debate Backlash: ABC Feels It In The Ratings

I am beyond BITTER ann1- I'm mad as hell. It is fortunate that ABC tipped their hand before the general. Isn't frightening how much this country has declined in 8 years- the middle class is barely surviving, Our cost of living has shot through the roof while wages flatlined. In 2000 a barrel of oil was about $20 now it is almost $120. HMOS, Pharma and Big OIl are raking in obscene profits. CEO compensation is also obscene. And while our enemies in the Middle East are getting fat from swollen oil profits are soldiers are dying.

That's why we have to pay attention. The powers that be are not going to go quietly. They are going to want to keep the gravy train going. posted 04/22/2008 at 19:18:14
I pulled the plug on ABC when GMA trotted out Tony Snow to give reaction to the latest Bush dustup with the public. Tony Snow? Are you freaking kidding me?

You didn't see George Stephanopuous trotting out Flag Pin lady Nash McCabe when he interviewed John McCain this week.

The debate last week was such a joke. A couple of high school kids could have come up with more relevant and insightful questions that the twin pompous asses- Charley and George. posted 04/22/2008 at 19:04:46
And why didn't George have Nash McCabe on when he was interviewing John McCain to ask about his flag pin? I would have loved to ask John McCain what is patriotic about sending our troops to die day after day in this bogus war. BOGUS from Day 1- war. posted 04/22/2008 at 15:28:54
That's very interesting. I did not notice the tally, but I posted comments twice. The 2nd time after thinking about it- I became even more angry. I'm still angry. I'm barely surviving and Charlie and George are raking in millions in their puffed up salaries! A couple of high school students would have conducted a more intelligent debate. posted 04/22/2008 at 14:57:35
I am boycotting ABC.
We need answers and the Obama/Clinton debate was very important. Gibson and Stephanopolous turned in a performance that was simultaneoulsy juvenile and pompous. (As impossible as that sounds) I was so angry watching it because I had been looking forward to it for so long. How coud 2 seasoned pros like them have such low regard for the American People. ABC- do you really think the America people are so dumb? Remember it was ABC that aired the error ridden docu-drama on 9/11. What an insult to American citizens and loyal viewers. posted 04/22/2008 at 14:41:58

Bush Three Is Wrong -- Is Clinton Three Any Better?

Not this time. The Republicans are in for a well deserved ass kicking. Why do you think we are so powerless against them? PEOPLE ARE MAD! Things are so bad in this country now- people do not care about the wedge issues like gay marriage, stem cell research and school prayer. posted 04/22/2008 at 21:08:36
Hillary had an enormous name recognition advantiage, I used to like her but after her conduct in this campaign- I can't wait until she is out of the primary so we can get on with our lives- without "It's all about US" Clinton drama. I have not a shred of respect left for either one of them. posted 04/22/2008 at 20:58:45
Second that! posted 04/22/2008 at 20:50:45
Hillary is the choice for business as usual. If you are happy with the ways things are going - by all means vote for Hillary. I used actual like the Clintons. After seeing their conduct over the past year- my opinion of them couldn't get any lower. They only care about winning- that it. Sorry- I can't vote for them to soothe their giant egos.

And BTW- she wouldn't win anyway- digging up dirt on the Clintons is child's play. The Bosnia story most of all just shows us their arrogance in believing their own delusion that they can get away with anything. Without McCain laying a glove on her- the young vote that is in love with Obama will never turn out for her. GAME OVER! posted 04/22/2008 at 20:45:27
The Clintons are yesterday's news. Old politics. old favors and predictably old solutions.

Sorry Clinton supporters. Mr. Baldwin knows the Clinton very well and laid out a great case for Obama. Your loyalty to the Clintons is admirable but your concern about the best interests of this country should supercede it. Just as Mr. Baldwin has done. posted 04/22/2008 at 20:37:13
How can anyone say they know- without getting accurate information. General Petreaeus and friends will tell the American people any line of crap to keep this war going. Obama will end this war responsibly and quickly- because this bogus war is bleeding us dry---financially, morally and emotionally. posted 04/22/2008 at 20:32:58
Sorry buddy- totally disagree. The Clintons are in up to their eyeballs with special interests. The DLC is their brainchild- in case you are not familar- "The Democrats should be nicer to Corporations Council." The Corporate world is doing fine- and if they're not they always have the goverment safety net. The poor American taxpayer is barely surviving.

The only candidate interested in changing this is Obama.

Great post Mr. Baldwin. I am impressed. posted 04/22/2008 at 20:27:54

Clinton Slams Democratic Activists At Private Fundraiser

You right about that Amanda08.
The worst was the last debate were she said she was honored to be up theire with Obama. Then the next day the screaming rant about "OBama should be ashamed" The crime of a mailer that stated he was a law professor and she thought he was lying and that he was only a law lecturer. Then she becomes almost OCD where she won't let up; If the university came out and said he was a law professor. And her rant about plagariasm. She rediculous.
OF COURSE- SHE HOLDS HERSELF TO A MUCH LOWER STANDARD.
I used to actually like Hillary- know I think she and her husband are collosal liars that will say anything to get elected. posted 04/18/2008 at 21:25:58

Obama's Ayers Issue

The American People want some solutions. We don't care about these non-events. One thing I will say for Hillary she pretty much wore the public out with her Grandstanding on non issues. Remember Hillary accusing Obama of plagariizing his own campaign chairperson's speech. "Words do matter" -- except if you are talking about Bosnia apparently. We are sick of the name calling, whisper campaigns and innuendos- WE WANT ANSWERS! And juvenile rank out sessions are counter productive. posted 04/18/2008 at 23:47:03
Since the sheep are worse off than ever before they may not be so willing to swallow the Republican line of crap hook, line and sinker. Besides- their numbers are dwindling. The Relgious Right has finally caught on that they are being played like a fiddle. And John McCain has a busload full of skeletons.

I even think some people are waking up to the fact that they are being duped by Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. When you are paying double for gas and milk and you ae losing your house the rantings of Limbaugh and Coulter just aren't as inspiring as they used to be.
It is sad when you think about how their basic fears were exploited and channeled into anger and resentment of the "lunatic left". Creepy. posted 04/18/2008 at 23:37:19

The Republicans have lost their death grip on American Politics. I am sick of the Karl Rove, George Bush, Cheney. Scooter and the rest of the Republican corrupt liars and hypocrites.

The game has changed. The tomenters will soon find out what it is like to be tormented. We are fed up. Look at the outrage at how the ABC debate was conducted. Look at the blowback at Republican Joe Scarborugh as blogger after blogger came to Rachel Maddow's defense. Keith Olbermann is huge! Bill Maher is huge.

Newsflash for you Repulbicans out there the game has changed. And hiding behind gay marriage, flag pins and Jesus is not going to help you. You can rule out race baiting too,. For the first time you are going to have to try to win an election on your qualifications and vision of the furture. (Good luck with that.) posted 04/18/2008 at 22:49:01

Clinton's Odds: Time And Delegate Math Not In Her Favor

The Clintons were all in favor of this gerry mandering of the schedule because they felt it would benefit them. Even with the MSM and the pundits keeping the fight alive for their own amusement and even Republicans jumping in to keep Hillary alive didn't help.

The Clinton machine has made a lot of bad decsions this year. While the Obama campaign ran like clockwork. posted 04/18/2008 at 17:00:34

I used to like the Clintons- now I can't wait for them to go. I find them so depressing. To vote for Hillary is like giving up that things can change - EVER! At least this is good practice against the Republicans. The Main Steam Media needs a real kick in the ass too.

I agree with Howard Dean. Super Delegates- make up your mind already. I heard Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell talking today that some of the super delegates are afraid to go against the Clintons because they are so nasty. Isn't that a good reason for not endorsing her? Her scroched earth tactics show that she only has her own self interest at heart? Perhaps if you can be intimidated that easily you should not be a super delegate.

Bring it on, Hillary supporters. There is nothing you can say that would convince to vote for her. posted 04/18/2008 at 16:44:17
