By following a scorched earth policy with the nomination as the only positive endgame for her, Hillary has made it such that her selection as a candidate for VP would fatally undermine EVERY SINGLE ARGUMENT of the Obama campaign for why he is the better candidate. She left no wiggle room at all!
And her supporters should understand that. When you put all the chips on the table and pull out all the stops, you have to be ready to walk away with nothing if the result doesn't pan out as hoped. That's not true! The tax holiday would come in for this summer. And she would try to tax the windfall profits in 2009 once the Dems. had the White House. It would NEVER happen before then. So no, the tax holiday is not dependent on the windfall tax proposal going through. So instead of $30 saved at the end of the 3-months, even by this article's measure of "success", we are talking about an actual savings of $18!!!!! Or the equivalent of 5 GALLONS OF GAS FOR THE ENTIRE PERIOD!!!!!

The problem is not whether Hillary Clinton is smart or smart enough... it's clear she has done her homework in studying the issues. The problem is that Hillary is counting on the American public NOT being smart enough to see through the bullshit and smokescreens.

What Bill doesn't seem to understand is that blacks were always very cognizant of all of his faults and moral failings. It's not that they thought he walked on water or were hypnotized by his political skills. His ONLY SAVING GRACE all these years was that blacks felt he was either colorblind or that he even went beyond colorblind and actually APPRECIATED black culture/history and RESPECTED black Americans.

Exactly. I don't understand the media narrative that only blacks are angry about Clinton's disgusting behavior. Obama could have had 100% of the black vote and would be nowhere in this fight... His success as borne out by all the exist polls is due to a strong coalition of people from all races and walks of life. The media keeps harping on "backlash" from African Americans if Hillary Clinton finds a way to steal the nomination or succeeds in damaging Obama chances in the general election in a "murder-suicide" that would leave the door open for her in 2012... as if African Americans are the only Obama supporters who would turn away from Clinton's ugly tactics.
What the media doesn't seem to get --- gasp!--- is that the of support and devotion from Obama's non-black supporters runs just as deep. It's not just a matter of making up for lost black votes!

Can someone remind me of the last time an unarmed, NON-BLACK person was gunned by police in a hail of bullets? I personally am finding it hard to remember even one case. In these cases involving black suspects, the protocol seems to be shoot first --- and repeatedly at that --- and ask questions later!

The one good thing about this article is that it should put to rest Clinton's constant complaining about the media's non-existent media bias. Otherwise, it changes nothing. I actually thing Barack did BETTER with the BITTER folks than expected. People seem to forget that the reason he was asked about the "bitter vote" in the first place is that he hadn't been able to capture a good share in previous contests.
