My major concern is that the corporations have taken control of what used to be the American democratic system. The GOP is firmly bought and sold but sadly, a considerable number of Democrats are also.
I wonder how the European countries have managed to avoid this complete take over?

I'm concerned that HP is now moderating based on political content. Oddly they let the rightwing nut cases post all kinds of controversial content that leads to big click revenues, I assume. But there are a few themes that are ruthlessly squelched. So far what I've seen removed has to do with 9-11 so I'm wondering if this is a sore subject with someone high up in HP?
As an engineer, I'm somewhat skeptical that three buildings could collapse into their footprints so neatly when only two were hit by planes and no engineering theory can explain their collapse. Especially since Cheney and his Project for a New America were wishing for something along these lines so they could invade the Mideast. Boy was that serendipitous!
9-11 Commemoration. A polite note asking whether the hoopla associated with the 8th anniversary was designed to strengthen the wavering support for the Afghan war was deleted 10 times!
I might be wrong. And Obama's idea of emphasizing a day of service is a good way of combating the right's message of fear. But to censor the message repeatedly? Something's not right here.
