Bio
People I admire:
Leaders: Martin Luther King, Jr.; Ghandi; Al Gore
Artists: Lucille Ball; The Beatles; Dana Carvey; Billy Crystal; Chuck Berry; Little Richard; David Bowie; Pink Floyd; Neil Young; Indigo Girls; Parliament Funkadelic; Philip Glass; Tony Randall; the entire creative team of LOST
I love: music, comedy, television, mountains, the ocean, nature, the psychedelic sixties (minus the drugs part), cats (the animals, not the musical...although that was pretty dang good, too).
I detest: The Republican Party (although there are a few individual members thereof who are okay...if woefully misguided), corn syrup, violence/disrespect.
I pray for: humans to spiritually evolve into a more respectful species, which would translate into us behaving better towards each other and the earth which sustains us. One way to facilitate this "respect r/evolution" would be for people to "go green", because behaving in a green way is really behaving in a respectful way towards the earth, and respectful is as respectful does. If we learn to treat the earth with respect, I have this cockeyed and probably way-too-idealistic hope that it just might translate into us actually becoming more respectful, thus treating each other better, too. I think it therefore isn't too much of a stretch to suggest that simply going green--doing mundane little things like recycling, driving hybrids, and doing our best to live in harmony with the earth versus trashing it--might just save the world, in more ways than one. It could not only save our planet, but make us a more respectful, reverent species that would thus be fit and worthy to inhabit it.
