Clinton Slams Democratic Activists At Private Fundraiser

Nobody could have voted at a Colorado caucus unless they had been registered as a Democrat IN THAT PRECINCT as of December 14th, 2007. Nobody from "out of town" can just show up and vote. They have to be on the existing voter registration list.

More BS. posted 04/19/2008 at 00:19:27
I call BS on this story. I am a delegate in Colorado and went to the caucus, the county convention, and will be going to the state convention. There were NO Colorado county conventions 2 weeks after the caucus. They were 5, 6 or 7 weeks after the caucus, one of the three.

You say your name wasn't on any list for the county convention, then how did the precinct captain get ahold of you? If you were a delegate, your name would have to be on the list, along with your phone number. Your story doesn't add up. posted 04/19/2008 at 00:16:32

As first-time participants in the delegate process, do we expect to be chosen for the National? Not really. Do we expect hundreds of wannabe delegates to stand up and give their spiel about why they should be elected to the 17 or so seats selected at the state convention? I sure as hell hope not! We'd be there all weekend.

Considering the fact that the Bush administration has been bypassing regulations by either ignoring them, telling their corporate buddies to ignore them, or gutting the enforcement capabilities of regulatory agencies, we're pretty much at the de-regulated point this dittohead wants. Gas is climbing to $4. Housing bubble popping, foreclosures, equity evaporating. Airlines cutting corners by not doing maintenance. Huge recalls of tainted food and products. And when a dittohead gets poisoned, they'll be among the first to scream that the government should've protected them.

Government is the people hiring armies, police, and other agencies to do for them what they cannot or will not do for themselves. The strong have no need of protection by the law, only the weak do.

What does it take to get these jokers to realize that the complete lack of regulation they worship is common these days in Africa. Mogadishu. Darfur. Rwanda. You want no rules? That's no rules. posted 04/01/2008 at 01:30:41

As a longtime participant of Usenet newsgroups, HuffPo is comparatively subdued. I agree with some of the comments that having moderators keeps the worst of the dreck out of sight and helps maintain a relatively civil, if spirited, tone.

Posting on the Internet is a largely anonymous business which lends itself to keyboard courage, saying things online that you'd never say in a face-to-face meeting. It's been that way for over a decade, in my experience. The medium lends itself to that.
