Bill Clinton: Hillary Would Be Winning Under GOP Primary Rules

Bill, I suggest that she move to the Republican Party as it is in many ways a better fit for her. But tell the Goldwater Girl that we have no hard feelings toward her. We've known for a long time what she is. posted 04/21/2008 at 17:14:41

Who is Hillary Clinton?

There is good reason for that.
WAR:

but she claims to have opposed it before Obama!

And change? Scaife and Murdock are not stupid. They know why they support her. Do you?
But then there is a very telling tale about Bosnia which had to be exposed -- but if one is used to saying anythinng convenient and expecting to get away with it, ... Doesn't this tell you that (unless she is really delusional) she must be a classic sociopath? posted 04/21/2008 at 23:33:59

Clinton Camp Won't Say How Hillary Disagrees With MoveOn

She hates a lot of things: MoveOn. DailyKos, Mother Jones, HuffingtonPost, BuzzFlash, almost all papers in PA (those not owned by that great Funding and Founding Father of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy that she recently joined!) She loves Fox, however.
She hates to tell the truth also it seems. McCain would be better than Bush (not a lot better, but better; it's not hard to beat the worst ever!) posted 04/21/2008 at 17:28:41

There are too many who would be turned off by a sell o0ut to Clinton after her dirty campaign.
I realize that in the p;rimary the media has p[layed her up. So mujch so that "Bittergate" is equated withy "Bosniagate" as though they were the same kind of thing.
The one began with a true statement with which there was nothing wrong; it was twisted by some spin artists and played out off tune by our fine media.
The other was a stupid lie that almost had to be exposed, but it tells us something very important about the speaker. EDither she is delusional or she is a sociopath. Since she thought it a joking matter when she was caught, I tend towards the latter.
But in the general election, look for Fox, et al, to revert to form and play the Republican way.

Ok, in the "debate" he was asked about an "ASSOCIATE" who had been a Weatherman aand recently said some objectionabler things. Obama responded by saying that he knew the mann but he was hardly an 'associate' and he didn't think thaat he could be held responsdible for the acts 40 years ago "when I was eight" or anything said recently by someone he baqrely knew. Hillary jumped in and said that he did more than just know him, that Obama had served on a board with him. Obama then said that he had indeed served on a board that the former Weatherman,. now a professor, was also appointed to. But that didnn't make them close friends or anything.
And, moreover, in considering that, one might also consider that Bill Clinton pardoned some Weathermen.
So after the 'journalists' hit him with a cvharge she had raised earlier, and he responds dismissinng it as nothing, she tries to make it seem something else; THEN he responds by pointing out her more suspect 'association.' He didn't initiate that, nor even counterattack until he had had repeated hits on it, although he knew that his ammunition was better.

But talking about her lies is more legitimate than her talking about acts by someone he knows. And she not only lied about Bosnia; when caqught she joked about it. In other words, she thinks her lying is OK. That is a legitimate cause for concern. posted 04/20/2008 at 12:50:01

Obama Going Negative? Mailer Hits Clinton On Trade

No, iLogos, he didn't lie. After Clinton's representative told the Canadians what they wanted to hear, they contacted Goolsbee, who told them that Obama is not against trade but holds that any agreement should have conditions to protect labor and the environment, which NAFTA lacks. Then the Neocon PMO "leaked" a lie to help Clinton. After the voting in Ohio which was won by Clinton with the aid of that lie -- and her fake news report radio ads just before the vote --, the PMO released a statement denying the claim in the leak and admitting that it was false and harmful to Obama. The spins since have been nothing but attempts to muddy the waters, and have affected no voting.
So in sum, a lie was put out to win Ohio for Clinton which, in all probability, she otherwise would have lost. Note that our great MSM trumpeted the lie "leaked" by the Neocon Canadians, but has been as quiet as mice about the correction they issued. But why should anyone expect anything else? How the heck can she get away with all her pretending? Samantha was right, but our media loves monsters. (They backed Cheney and Bush, didn't they? Knowingly allowed them to lie about WMDs, about the expected effects of their tax policy, etc.. So their treatment of Hillary -- who has her nose trimmed nightly -- is only what we shoulkd have expected.) posted 04/15/2008 at 12:26:28

Bill Clinton Flashback: "All These Economically Insecure White People...Are Scared To Death"

I now live in Central Illinois, which is a lot like Central Pennsylvanis where I used to live. I have a son now living in fly-over Indiana. What Barack Obama said was right on the money. Clinton's complaint about "bitter" is foolish. Would she like it better if he had just said that since they have been lied to so much, they can't believe any promises from our candidates? She doesn't like thas word "cling." Would "hold fast onto" have pleased her more? And how come she is talking so much about church going? She doesn't do it a lot herself. And guns? She can't recall the last time she touched one. And recall that the problem really began with the economy and lost jobs? NAFTA, anyone? And it came to resentment of those taking the jobs. Not a pretty sentiment, but ubderstandable. Rather than complain about bsomeone noticing it, wouldn't it be better to join his effort to lead people away from resentments like that by getting them to see why the jobs left, who were the deciders in that operation, what was involved? The villains are not the impoverished Mexicans who got the jobs lost by Galesburgers when Maytag moved. The voters should see as the villains those politicians who refuse to address the realities of the situation. And especially those who seek to obscure it. posted 04/17/2008 at 14:57:52

Clinton Firm's Deal Left Pennsylvania Churches In Shambles

Things are getting out of hand here. Clinton is a flawed human being as we all are.
But he was a pretty gtood president.
If you can't think of the good he did, I can recommend that you read Obama's "Audacity of Hope." He has lots of good things to say about Clinton's accomplishments.
If he can be fair in his assessment off the Clinton presidency, then his followers should also. posted 04/10/2008 at 17:05:33

Time Mag: How Obama's Mom Made Him Who He Is

In his book, Audacity of Hope" you will get a good insight into Obama. He talks about his experiences as a community organizer, how he got people to talk and suggest ways to solve problems. That is how a good leader works; he first listens. In the book he discusses his views on many subjects, and you can see how he thinks. But the book tells a great story. One of the best parts of the book to me was Barack's meeting with Robert Byrd. Oh, yes, I know that in his youth, Byrd was a KKK recruiter. Doesn't everyone? Isn't it talked about enough? But he is also the man who stood up in the Senate and shamed his colleagues by speaking against the invasion of Iraq, based on who we Americans are, what our nation and its ideals are. It was one of the greatest speeches ever given in our Senate. I heard echoes of that in Obama's speech in Philadelphia on perfecting the union. Anyone can make mistakes, but if we are big enough to see them, we are also able to learn and grow. Obama is a strong person, strong enough to be gentle, and gentle enough to will over those who oppose him. He is strong enough to see the good in others. He can unite us.
In spite of the ignorant attack dogs constantly baying at him now. posted 04/10/2008 at 11:56:15
If you are really interested in knowing, try reading his books. I think "Audacity of Hope" will tell you more about the man than a lot of barking attack dogs. His other book is more about his early life and his family. But that is pertinent too, in that it gives the lie to some of ther attack dogs who speak so loudly in their profound ignorance.
You might watch his sister here talk about how he was when growing up.

Clinton Camp: It's A Miracle We're Not Behind In Pennsylvania

If the Virgin Hillary is within 20% of him, she will now declare it a great victory! And so she should. After all, when did he ever have to duck sniperfire? And since she opposed the Iraq war before he did, why is he allowed in this race? She is losing nationally to those wealthy N ...(er, uh) nonWhite People, who so vastly outnumber us poor pale folks, only because they keep pretending that she doesn't walk on water and some are foolish enouigh to believe them. What right does he have to talk about uniting the country? Before most of us had ever heard his funny name, she had already united half the country (the Republicans) and is now busy uniting at least half the rest!
Talk about miracles!
Hillary is all fired fair! Although she opposed the war, she voted for it in order not to hurt our president's feelings, and those of his manipulators. Although she opposes the Colombia trade pact, she will probably vote for it in order to maintain good relations with her connections there. And although she dearly loves truth, she doesn't ever want to overwork it, so she seldom indulges herself needlessly in its pleasures. posted 04/09/2008 at 16:20:17

Clinton Blasts Media Double Standard

Old Medal Winner Bob! posted 04/09/2008 at 17:43:13
Well, the MSM isn't making much of the fact that Hillary isn't paying her bills. People in California and Iowa are upset, but the MSM isn't botherring us about it.

Anyway, she still has love from Fox, Rush, and Scaife. (Did I miss something or did they tell us why they her so terrribly much now after working so hard in the past to convince us that she was a bit viler than Satan?) posted 04/09/2008 at 17:40:42

The purpose of a campaign should be to allow the public to know the candidates and choose the one best qualified. Hillary made her pitch and couldn't convince the voters of her merit, so the strategy became to change the subject. Her complaints about the media are ridiculous, and she knows it. But it's the fourth quarter; throw a Hail Mary and hope for an interference call. Good gamesmanship, but poor patriotism.
Still this is par for the course in American politics (sad to say). We are used to it, so there will likely be no overwhelming reaction to it. And McCain is such a weak candidate that the Democratic nominee will likely win anyway.
So, Obama supporters, keep cool. Do as he is doing. Stay focused on real issues. Keep the vitriol low. It is probable that this will make the fall campaign easier for him. Even most two time Bush voters now see the need for a new kind of leader.
When people question his ability to unite us, have them look at his cordial relationship with Robert Byrd. And those doubting the ability of people to change might look at Sen. Byrd himself and read that magnificent speech he gave against our unprovoked invasion of Iraq. (Like Obama's Philadelphia speech, it was reasoned from who we are as a people and a nation.) We all have the ability to grow as human beings -- if we are willing to face facts, reason, and consult our hearts. posted 04/09/2008 at 08:40:53

Why Our Feith-Based Iraqi Policy Failed

The Neoconservative political philosophy, as presented by Leo Strauss, is strongly Zionist and globalist, is heavily influenced by the philosophy of Carl Schmitt and other Nazis. The Platonic "Noble Lie" to fool the people into stuuporting an "elite" is a major part of how they operate.
In the PNAC document "Rebuiding America's Defenses" the invaasion of Iraq is projected and there is states clearly what thge purposes are: hegemony and oil. And it even says that Saddaam Hussein could be used as a PRETEXT. Note that those who led us into the war (Wolfowitz, etc.) started moving to other positions as soon as that object had been achieved and before the outcome was obvious to the nation.
No push is made to expose these Elite liars, beccause who likes to admit that they were made SUCKERS of? posted 04/08/2008 at 09:49:00
The policy did not fail.. It produced the exact result desired by its architercts. If you are in doubt, please read in Chomsky's "Fateful Triangle" the explanation of the motivation for Israel's first invasion of Lebanon, and its extended applications, Ze'ev Schiff on Iraq, including the proposal to break the latter into no fewer than three pieces.
A lot of America's failures have been successes. I hope that Iraq will be the last. But I have my doubts that it will be. The servant isn't always privy to the master's game. posted 04/07/2008 at 16:15:39

Obama: No Need For Foreign Policy Help From V.P.

There is a Secretary of State who is primarily there ffor foreign policy. Obama was speaking about a VP choice. And he spoke of seeking someone who could help where he was weakest, as well as someone who could serve as president.
Those commenting here should learn a bit more about Obama. I suggest that those interested read "Audacity of Hope" where he addresses most of the big issues before us, and shows how he thinks. He is first and forermost a good listener. (That is how he approached his work as a community organizer.) And he knows a heck of a lot about other cultures and peoples.
But, if we get to specifics, there are things Obama doesn't know about, like what it feels like to have a Bosnian sniper shooting at you.
He also knows what Reagan did to our economy. (Someone should tell McCain!)
He was a brilliant law student. He even passed the bar exam on his first attempt -- as most good students do. I was quite impressed with the story of Barack's meeting with Robert Byrd. It was a good scene. It should give all people of good will encouragement that we can change the things wrong with our country by following our traditions, our Constutution, and out ideals. I'd like all those now focussing on small minded divisiveness, to read Byrd's speech against the invasion of Iraq and Barack's speech on perfecting our union, and see where our solutions can come from. posted 04/10/2008 at 12:36:22
Oh, be nice! She's hurting now. Don't rub it in. I have a brother who voted for Bush twice. (That has been hard to forgive!) He now plans to vote for McCain, I'm sure. (He voted in the Democratic primary for Hillary.) But even he realizes who our next president will be. He was visiting this past weekend and the only words about politics were his; when he picked up the morning paper, he said, "Well, there is our next president. I'll agree that he's not bad. We could do a lot worse." Then we talked basketball.
I know a lot of women were hoping Hillary would get in, mainly because of her gender, but most of them now are beginning to see that she is not really the person for the job. The only excuses for remaining blind to that are that she is better than what we've suffered through ffor the past seven years plus, and frankly nobody is ready for everything that can be thrown at a president. Yet when one begins to root for a person in politics or a team in sports, we tend to ovedrlook their flaws and exaggerate their strengths. And then we start believing our exaggerations. So it hurts to lose.
Be generous.
By the way, blue faces are interesting. My wife had one when we were in the high Andes. But she didn't feel good with it and was glad to come down and get more oxygen. posted 04/07/2008 at 15:40:33

GOP Strategist: Condoleezza Rice Campaigning For VP Slot

OK, Condolezza Rice is intelligent, and she has held a high position in The George W. Bush administration, BUT what has she accomplished that we reaslly wanted done? Who and what have been served by her?
Being a part of DumbDubya's regime is nothing to brag about. It is the worst in our history!

McCain wants the presidency too badly; for that reason he swallowed the slime Bush put on him in 2000. then campaigned for him. That doesn't giver me any feeling of strength in the man. And all his ideas now are rehashings of Bush and past (unsatisfactory!) Republican programs.

I want people to shut up and let Hillary ccontinue as she will. That is because I think it will be good for Obama! The longer this goes on, the more people will see of both. He impresses people who get acquainted with him. (I wish everyone would read his book "Audacity of Hope" see his ideas for themselves and judge him on them.) But the more people see of Hillary, the leess they like her. Why? Because they can't help seeing her falseness. She lies -- gets caught -- laughs about it! Her parody of dodging sniper fire shouldn't defuse that bomb, but should be itself a bigger bomb. She has no remorse when she does wrong.
The longer this goes on, the more people will be happy to have Barack as our candidate.
One thing I certainly hope to see the end of soon, is the offer to reward Clinton's bad behavior with a VP spot of a SC Justice appointment. This isn't the Mafia. posted 04/06/2008 at 23:06:50

I may be an old white man, but I am not completely stupid.
I have no trouble with a woman in a leadership role, have had women bosses several times.
But I can judge which woman has the necessary qualifications, can't I?
Take Hillary Clinton. She finished lawschool at the bottom of her class, failed ther DC bar exam. Does this give one confidence that she is as brilliant as some say?
She has been caught recently in numerous silly -- for being so obvious! -- lies. Does that demonstrate the judgment and character one expects in a Supreme Court Justice?
High positions of trust should not be political bribes to stop a troublesome candidate from, acting badly.
Nor should they be filled by unqualified persons for political reasons. That is what has created for us ther present Court, much to the detriment of the nation. posted 04/06/2008 at 22:38:47

Clinton Makes False Claim About Her Iraq Record Vs. Obama's

There is, however, a big flaw in her lying. While she can lie with the same sincerity that she can speak the truth, she is careless about what is easilt known by others.
Her birthdate and the date of Sir Edmund Hillary's Everest climb are known facts. Eventually somebody had to notice that lie.
Her Bosnia sniper fire story had to be refuted sometime by someone viewing the tape of her actual reception. (Those thinngs are always taped.)
And so with all too many other of her lies. A good liar not only sounds sincere but checks that his claim isn't silly or counter to commonly known facts. (Which is why, when I'm at the bar I never claim to have quarterbacked the Giants to an NFL championship.)
So, in my humble opinion, Hillary is a lousy liar. She tells too many without profit, too many easily exposed as false, and too many that sound too much like tall tales. posted 04/08/2008 at 09:06:46

Hillary has a funny way of opposing things.

Or maybe she is an exception to the statement: "By their fruit shall ye know them."
He war opposition yielded votes for war.
Her NAFTA opposition yielded speaking for it and boasting of it.
Her anti-Free Trade with Colombia yielded an oops with Mark Penn (whom she is keeping around with a different title.)
Her being caught in the sniper lie yielded -- no! not remorse, definitely not! -- a nonfunny parody of it. (Recall Bush looking for WMDs under ashtrays?) Some see typical sociopathic behavior in this.

I probably just don't understand Hillary. With her the old rules do not apply.; posted 04/06/2008 at 23:36:29
