A Proud Liberal says politicians should spend their days and nights listening to their constituents, not attending fund raising parties and slumming for corporate dollars. I'm fucking tired of politicians who do what is in their interest then proceed to talk to their constituents like children. I think we should spend more time harrassing our representatives because they are obviously forgetting that they are nothing more than an extension of our will.

Al Gore Endorsement: When Will It Happen?

Why bother. If I were Gore I'd wait til Clinton drops out then make dozens of appearances with Obama. i don't think Gore should sould throw in his support til the nominee is undisputable. The only reason Edward's said anything is because he sees the inevitable nomination of Obama. posted 05/15/2008 at 09:07:45

Ex-officials: Bush admin. ignored Iraq corruption

I would love to wave this in the face of every republican I know, but it doesn't matter anymore. Democracy is dead. CNN or Fox or CBS won't cover it so the majority of people won't hear about it. It makes perfect sense now; Bush destroys the educational system because dumb people and wealthy poeple vote republican. You have to be some hick, hayseed, backwards-ass bumpkin to stand there and say that the Republicans are anything but demons at this point. posted 05/13/2008 at 10:09:22

What John McCain Told Me, and What it Says About How Far He's Fallen

I've completely given up on the media. I only watch:

Countdown with Keith Olbermann
The News Hour with Jim Lehrer
Bill Moyers' Journal
Now on PBS
GO Left TV

and Listen to:

NPR
Ring of fire radio (podcast from iTunes)

Democratic Party's Patience For Clinton Wears Thin

I would act shocked but it's always about the power. It's never about the people; to Stephanoupolis and Carvel and the Clintons it's a big F'n game where they're trying to sell snake oil on a massive scale. The Clintons obviously only care about the power. She would've dropped out by now if she really gave a shit about the party or the constituents...

This is the first time I've been on Huffpo since Texas/Ohio because her antics in that campaign pissed me off so much that I've lost my taste for politics. I can't even watch the Daily show and I really love the daily show. posted 05/02/2008 at 11:00:16

Sidney Blumenthal Uses Former Right-Wing Foes To Attack Obama

That he didn't reinstate the fairness doctrine gave life to the "Vast Right-wing conspiracy"... Bill Clinton did some good things, but he also screwed over the Democratic Party and Al Gore of course. posted 05/02/2008 at 11:18:04
Don't forget Lee Atwater. If Clinton wins the nomination I'm afraid we're all screwed. I think she'll get reelected as Sen. because she's got Tina Fey and Amy Poehler out shilling for her. I work with a self-described "feminist" and I asked her one day who she was supporting (knowing the answer). Of course she said Clinton. I asked "why Clinton"? She said because she's a woman and it will set an example for women everywhere.

I then replied "An example that you should let your husband cheat on you repeatedly and publicly and always take him back" You want to set the example the a woman should always stand by her man no matter how bad the abuse or negligence". She didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. posted 05/02/2008 at 11:15:13

Democrats Clinton, Obama collide in Pennsylvania primary

Yes we call that 15% Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and parts of Texas. Their educational system compared to the rest of the country is several years behind. Half of that 15% is the 8% who won't vote for him because he's black and I'm willing to bet they all have been or have had family in the Clan.

Why do you think Bush is trying to destroy the educational system??? Dumb people tend to vote Republican because they are too stupid to put 2 and 2 together. At the very least they are so poor and disenfranchised that they have given up. posted 04/22/2008 at 13:21:00
It's not poor judgement, it's malevolent judgement. She will crush and destroy everything in her path. If she wins the people in the DNC who opposed her are screwed. She'll probably have Obama sent to Guantanomo posted 04/22/2008 at 10:13:40

Joe Scarborough Walks Off MSNBC's "Race To The White House" After Exchange With Rachel Maddow

Plus, unlike Scarborough, Maddow brings facts to the table where as 75% of what Joe brings is "holier-than-though" opinion, and self-righteous insults. Joe is nothing more than a pimp for his own ego. posted 04/18/2008 at 12:44:17

US Economy Changes Spending Patterns For Majority, But Not For The Super Rich

You should look up Demagog before you comment:

Demagog is someone who rules through fear and intimidation and there was none of that with Clinton or Carter, or Kennedy (except for Cuban missle crisis).

With Bush Jr. all we've had was a false promise for 8 months then 6 years of illegal war, feigned patriotism, superfluous outrage and fecetious terror-alerts that were politically convenient. You are fool with the mind of a child Hyde. Makes sense though because only a child-like fool would support Bush or his minions. posted 04/14/2008 at 11:27:12

No doubt. When you buy a house for 200k and two years later it's worth 190k you just cost yourself tens of thousands of dollars in interest. The market is contingent on everything moving upwards slowly and steadily.

House A. is worth $12k more now than it was 5 years ago and you sell it for a $5k profit after comission. You sell House A. and buy House B. for $50k more and start your family and someone single buys House A. from you and starts their life; assuming that their current salary is X% higher than your former salary (when you bought house) and that House A. hasn't gone up more than X% in price since you bought it.

That's where the problem is. House A. is now 30% higher in value, but salaries haven't gained any ground. We're all fucked unless this correction is made. Besides who wants to buy a house when you know that 2 or 3 missed paychecks could cost you everything. The retards who were treating the housing market like a day-trading operation falsely inflated property values. Now we need the bubble to burst so we can get back to normal. Our form of capitalism is just one dodgey scam after another. posted 04/14/2008 at 11:15:15
I would love to buy a house, but I simply can't afford it. the only houses I could buy are in the worst neighborhoods in town and no way in hell am I buying a condo that is little more than a 2 bedroom apartment that costs $700 mo. in mortgage pymnt + $150/mo. for an association fee. It's not the credit crisis that has caused this, it's the hyperinflation of the market. As our paper economy shrinks the real economy over inflates. Look at gold or oil or property... They've gone crazy even though people's salaries aren't keeping up... Well except for the rich.

I'm in favor of having another tea party, only this time against the rich. Sink their yachts and molotov their Limo's. posted 04/14/2008 at 10:59:12
