I grew up in San Francisco, CA and had the dubious fortune of being in high school there during the height of the "hippie" era. I have now live in the Pacific NW, but have also lived in South Dakota, in the Black Hills.
I have traveled in the United States, Europe and Israel.
The past 23 of my 36 yr. career as a Registered Nurse has been in the specialty psychiatric/mental health/addictions nursing. I also have fairly extensive experience in grass roots community organizing and health education related to women's reproduction health & child birthing, as well as in HIV/AIDS outreach and education. My experience has included working with diverse groups of people of various ethnic, religious, racial, sexual preference and economic backgrounds.
I am a mother and grandmother.
