Clinton Gas Tax Holiday: Hillary Attacks Economists

She also fudged the numbers she gave supporting her plan. She said that the average driver would save $70 over the summer, and that long commuters would save more. That is patently wrong and unsubstantiated by the math.

She also claims that the gas tax holiday will be paid by a windfall tax on gas companies. Doesn't explain how she will get it passed in Congress, or if she will abandon the holiday if she cant get the windfall tax passed. (Not that Bush will sign either.) posted 05/04/2008 at 10:44:37

Republicans are expected to be close to 40% of the voters in the Dem primary Tuesday.

Though most are voting sincerely, we should be wary of those motivated by Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos, in which he is rallying Repubs to vote for Hillary just to extend the primary and her negative campaigning against our nominee.

It's sad that he is tampering with the voting process like this. If anyone in Indiana can gather proof that certain voters are doing this, it could lead to an indictment against Limbaugh. Be wary and be aware. posted 05/03/2008 at 15:06:52

Obama wins close race, beats Clinton in Guam

You sound like you're 10 years old. posted 05/04/2008 at 13:01:34
You don't know about energy, do you? These days coal gets liquified and burns cleanly like natural gas. This is a technology that has been pushed by Dem governor Brian Sweitzer of Montana, a leading coal producer and red state.

It's not quite as clean as, let's say, wind technology, but we can't use that for cars, can we? Furthermore, ethanol has been a disaster. Not only does it take 120 gallons of fuel to produce 100 gallons of ethanol, the diversion of corn to fuel has made food that much more expensive. Coal, which our country has plenty of, is an imperfect but doable option.

Why don't you go out and learn about something before you start hysterically screaming about it? posted 05/04/2008 at 12:56:56

But Guam also gets 5 superdelegates. 2 were determined by a vote today for Chair and Vice Chair of the Dem Party. One of those is an Obama supporter, the other is undecided and will go with the caucus winner.

Yes, there is a caucus to determine the supers. posted 05/03/2008 at 20:36:59

Actually, a lot of early states have been polling very differently from when they voted. Currently, both CA and NJ polls have Obama ahead of Hillary. Back on Feb 5, Hillary won NJ by 10 points but currently Obama is beating her by 7. A lot of buyers' remorse once Hillary went negative and people got to know Barack better.

A lot of states are in play with Obama as the nominee. CO, VA, GA, NC, NM, IA, maybe even his family state of KS; these are states Hillary would never win. posted 05/03/2008 at 18:44:01

Let's get on those phones! If each of us spent an hour today and Sunday calling voters in IN and NC, especially the undecideds, it could put our guy Obama over the top in both states. Take nothing for granted!! We all know that the Clintons are like cockroaches; they won't die unless we grind them under our heels.

20 phones calls each day, each state from all of us could reach a hell of a lot of people. Get on the website and then pick up the phone. Use your cell phone this weekend and it'll be free.

And if you want to do more, call the superdelegates of your state and tell them why Obama should be their choice.

On my calls, I'm having a dialogue -- that means listening as much as talking -- and people seem to respond. I show my excitement for my candidate and sometimes that transfers, sometimes not.

We have to remember that unlike us, many people are going by name recognition. Clinton: Base "Broader And Deeper" Than Obama's

It's not sexist to say someone has a fat ass. Fat asses come in both genders. posted 05/01/2008 at 22:11:20
It's not winner take all. It hasn't been in 30 years. It wasn't when Bill ran in 92 or 96. So what is her excuse? She screwed it up. And she would screw it up against McCain too. She never had a chance because her negatives are up at 53% and most of the country thinks she's a liar. She can't win. posted 05/01/2008 at 22:09:46
