Born: 50's something
Brooklyn Hospital, NY Grew up small kid in Hellâs Kitchen NY, then San Fernando Valley, CA, then Newport Beach CA, then San Francisco, CA.
Adolescent: In trying to find my way through adolescence, found love and fun in surfing, mountaineering, becoming an Eagle Scout, an All Star Baseball, Football, Basketball player, and AAU Junior Olympic Swimmer in the Santa Clara Pool, CA. Then I found my bedrock of human values which hold true today which was when I became a "Flower Child" as a Hippie in the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco. This is where I made my declaration as a free person on this planet dedicated to promoting, fun, love and energy to making life more meaningful and enjoyable with all humanity.
Thus as I moved into the academic and professional world of work I devoted my skills and talents to serve others and enhance the quality of life for all living things. I n that I worked in Wildland fire protection & Paramedic services for 22 years, followed by an educator in the Nuclear waste and toxic substance field of managing industrial waste in ways that minimize risk of public health hazards and the planets biosphere.
I have since moved on after extensive travel and living in the South Pacific, Europe, and 38 states throughout America, to learn how my other fellow Americans live, to settle down and finish my post graduate work in Adult Education, Distance Education, Workforce Development and Performance Improvement in the workplace
Marital: I am single and available with no attachments, with one prior spouse and son who is now 28 in Iraq with the USMC.
Academics: University of California Irvine: Graduate Programs in Ecology Science, Hazardous Waste &
Toxic Substance Management
Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.), Industrial Technology Education, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
Master of Science in Education, (M.Ed.) University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
* I am currently a Doctoral Candidate for Educational Leadership & Administration.
Personal Thoughts:
I have never lost my sense of curiosity and love of learning, and believe that life is a journey of lifelong learning that never ends, with still more questions than answers, and thus will forever have a healthy dose of skepticism and realization the world is made up of a larger shade of grey, than black or white.
I am an idealist but also a realist in life, always striving to maintain vigorous honesty and honor in my life to serve what is in the best interests of humanity and the life of this planet.
In closing, I am a student of the Serenity Prayer, which yields a universal truth where âI ask God to Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the differenceâ.
Without a long storyâ¦too long for this forum there is no doubting the existence of God or a higher power given the empirical truths born out in my own life and will leave it at that.
Always be of good cheer to others.
