Bio
Everything about Roger Burke is occasional. Formerly in radio and TV, he served as Dallas/Fort Worth film commissioner for 15 years, occasionally taking time out for meals. He published the sporadic satirical newsletter Occasional News Events From Around Texas And Selected States, whose slogan was: "In the criminal justice system the people are served by two separate but equally important groups -- the law enforcement officials who investigate and prosecute crimes and the perps who provide them with employment and Occasional occupational therapy. These are their stories."

He currently occasionally shows up for work at a Native American film production company under his Indian name Pa-ho-ka-ta-witz (meteorite that landed in seltzer). His official title is Low Man / Totem Pole Division - or at least it will be after only two more promotions. Not famous enough to qualify as a HuffPo blogger, he does occasionally post comments that reach the character count maximum. He is however also a frequent participant on the personal blogs of people who actually are accomplished enough to be recognized as HuffPo contributors. Ususally under his alternate performing persona A. Buck Short, last of the Jewish cowboy poets.

He lives with his family in Texas and a large collection of department store markdown slightly damaged pets. He has no known priors.
